“From what you’ve told me he seems like he could be the one for you” x x
Well. Here it is–the sheet music for An Ode.
A few things:
I originally had the voice part in bass clef, but then I got to the falsetto bit, and that goes up to a friggin high A, so I decided to go with vocal tenor (treble clef an octave down) instead.
If you’d like a version of this in a different key, let me know, that can be arranged. (Ahahaha, get it? Arranged!)
I was pretty pleased with the playback on the Finale file, so I exported it as an mp3. It ended up sounding tolerably close to the original if I do say so myself. (I set the voice playback to clarinet, because Finale’s synth voice sounds are truly horrendous, and I couldn’t get the last chord to sound as a rolled chord, so the end is a little off, but other than that…)

The Candle Wasters + first episodes
The first episode of Bright Summer Night has landed! We hope you enjoy it :)
The Candle Wasters new series is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In episode one follow mischievous Puck as they navigate their way to and through a midsummer night’s party.
“What do people in Shakespeare plays do, when it’s all fucked? When they’re trapped? How do they work it all out? Maybe stories are just stories. Or maybe…we could make our life a story.”
