Side to side of my recent environment speedpainting.

I am not completely satisfied because I noticed I didn't capture the shape of the tree well and the turquoise undertone of the sea but I definitely like the overall style!

To make this very quick study I forced myself to avoid zooming, focusing only on shapes and colours but almost no blending.

I used victorstaris brushset (it's for photoshop but it works very well on procreate!)

Prologue: a place for my head 🍕

Back in 2016 I started digital art and at first I have to admit I felt FRUSTRATED. I couldn't get the colors right, shadows looked muddy, blending was something I just couldn't seem to grasp.

But did I delegate a chatbot? No. I persisted, day by day, swearing after swearing. I found free tutorials and resources I sat down every single day to draw something.

This is how it looks like ten years later. Far from perfect but you know the important part is I ENJOYED EVERY SECOND OF THE JOURNEY.

I decided to polish my alysaxliu portrait in the end because I was craving for some fun art study. I like her joie de vivre ❤️💜 and of course I tried my best to stylize her, I think this still fall in the semi realism realm, I really want to try playing more with features but I’m afraid to lose the resemblance 🧐🧐🧐

Art Scammer alert!

To all artists, be careful when random accounts comments your art here on tumblr, asking you to dm them (insisting on the dm part too), there's a chance they're scammers!

There's an easy way to unmask them: go through their liked posts and check the comments, they probably sent the same message to several other artists. Other giveaways can be the absence of personality: no pfp, few posts very random, small random following list

Remember to always check the people who contacts you and use safe tools like paypal invoices or ko-fi for payments. Be super super wary of emails from (allegedly) your bank or paypal asking to log in to unlock your account or something of sorts, always check the sender and the mail thrice!! (Instead of clicking anything just contact your paypal\bank right away via their official website)
