Mavuika Redesign Ideas!🔥

As much as I love Mavuika I always feel like her design is a bit out of place in the game and came off a bit too modern despite the concept. So I have ideas for redesign!

Tan Skin:

This is honestly a pretty expected and obvious idea design since she’s a Natlan character that lives in a hotter region. Not just that she’s also the Pyro Archon and technically the goddess of war. (This doesn’t just apply to Mavuika but also many other Natlan character as well)

Gold Glowing Markings/Tattoos:

This is where I really want to spice things up. I imagine she would have gold markings or tattoos that would cover parts of her skin like her back, legs, arms, or even a fire symbol on her forehead. The marks glow during burst or attacks, it can also glow during idle animations as well like how her hair also glows. The markings would also reflect on her emotions or feelings, flickering when she feels down or sad and glowing bright when she’s feeling happy. (If you ever check on my other post you can probably tell that this is one of my favorite design concept by how much I use this)

Red Dress With Gold Embroidery Or Linens:

This is something I really want to change and all. Her outfit is cool, but in my opinion it’s waay to off putting with the whole aesthetic of Natlan. I want to see her in a red dress with gold lines and embroidery that would compliment her overall appearance. Making her really look like an Archon (Call me basic, but I legit want to see it!)

Hair With Gold Tip:

Her hair would be the same shade of red in the canon, but the tip of her hair has a slight gold color that would make it look more like flames. And in the game hair wouldn’t just glow, it would rise and move like luminating fire. I also think that her hair would show her feelings and emotions more clearly because of it (like how it would rise violently when furious or glow warmly and brightly when overjoyed. Or that it becomes dim and heavy when she’s sad or depressed) I really like this idea cause it truly shows that instead of someone who’s a Pyro user she is the flame itself.

When she’s sad she “dims” in a way that make her light or glow becomes darker from sadness or depression. Like a fire that is hard to ignore, her feelings are also noticeable to the people around her. The light in her eyes would dim or not appear as bright as usual, and the tip of her hair would also lose her glow and turn into a dark or fade into a barely there yellow shade. Her hair that is usually big and luscious would become flatter and limp, almost heavy in a way. And this is how she would associate with depression, because she doesn’t “burn” or “light up” like she naturally does. Showing that she’s feeling “down”.

One Extra Trait I really want to add to her:

She LOVES creating things with her fire. Melting sand into glass and then shaping it into something beautiful. This also goes for melt able materials like metal. I think it would make a very interesting philosophy for her of how fire is not all about destroying or chaos but to create new things. And I imagine this is a part she prefers about herself.

AHHHHH! I finally got this done!

I love Mavuika but I’ve always wanted to imagine or create a whole new design for her cause I think there’s soo much about her that is off. And personally I really like this design and character rewrite for her cause it gives her a more meaningful and depth to her character.

For artist or writers out there, PLEASE do draw her in this design. I would LOVE to see how she would turn out in this design.

Another redesign of Mavuika cause I wasn’t too satisfied with my older one. I tried to stick to her in-game design a bit more and added some aspects of her old past attire! I also was inspired by her draft designs from that Genshin expo where she was more phoenix inspired and added more feathers too!! I thought it would match more of her resurrection theming as well :> her pants do become flame at the bottom area when she's in her nightsoul mode and so do the feathers as well! Only one pant leg is on fire here for stylistic choice

If there’s any feedback needed please do tell me!! I’m queuing this tonight cause it’s a bit of a personal day tmr and I might not be around here a lot (><). Honestly I just went fuck it and decided to have fun with the background huhu I think I’m more satisfied with this one!!
