I saw a story about how when Andrew made a snotty remark about Charlie getting married (because of the whole ‘stay single’ for the fans thing) and that Charlie got up, punched Andrew in the face, and then sat back down.
I think it says a lot about Charlie that a guy who has been punched twice in the face (that we know of) by him still thinks he’s a great man. Andrew’s like “I am honored to have been beaten by Charlie’s magical fists on multiple occasions.” I also like that there seems to be a pattern of Charlie getting up, punching a guy once, and then going back to whatever he was doing.
I’ve only seen the Mean Girls (2004) movie once and it was back in 2013 so I don’t even really remember what the plot was, but I remember there was this quote that went, “One time, she punched me in the face. It was awesome.”
So yeah. That’s Andrew. He’d definitely wear it as a badge of pride.
And the lesson of the day is: don’t mess with Charlie. He’s too tired to deal with your crap and he’s got more important things to do.
I haven’t been drawing much lately and my blog is like 80% shitposts now lol (really sorry considering the blog title is literally “maybe I willingly post my art here” 💀)
but thank you so much for stopping by anyway.😭 I hope you guys have a great day 🤞💕
Everytime I see Jim Morrison in leather pants in hot summer and I remember Jimi Hendrix burst out laughing at the joke that Jim was actually wearing vinyl and I-
While I mean no disrespect to his entire family, I genuinely question the current management of the Hendrix Estate... Okay, honestly I can’t bring myself to like them. They’re focusing more on profit than on preserving his art, and honestly, it feels like they’ve lost sight of who Jimi really was.
It's especially troubling that Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell, who were foundational members of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, were denied royalties for decades.
In late 2021, the estates of Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell sent a cease-and-desist letter asserting their rights to Jimi Hendrix’s recordings and threatening legal action. In response, the Hendrix Estate and Sony Music sued them in early 2022.
Estate claims families of Hendrix’s bassist and drummer threatened them with a copyright infringement case over ‘millions of pounds’ of unpa
What the hell. They weren’t just ignored. THEY WERE SUED just for trying to speak up about royalties they never received. I’m sorry, but to me, the Hendrix estate's actions come off as blatantly avaricious.
From the outset, it’s hard to understand how someone who isn’t even biologically related (a stepsister) ended up in full control of Jimi’s legacy after the death of Al Hendrix, Jimi's father and original estate heir. Yeah, I know she met Jimi. Sure, I’ve seen some pictures of her, but…
How can I possibly trust someone who assumed full control of the estate while sidelining Jimi’s actual siblings (Leon Hendrix) who grew up with him?? Especially when court records suggest she may have used that estate to fund not just a house and a salary, but also personal luxuries and salon visits.
Okay back to Noel and Mitch.
While Jimi Hendrix was undeniably the creative heart of the band, there would have been no Jimi Hendrix Experience without Noel and Mitch. It’s honestly heartbreaking that despite everything Noel and Mitch contributed to rock history both of them died broke.
There’s a new court case scheduled for December 1st 2025 concerning the rhythm section’s royalties. I really really really hope things finally turn and end fairly.
A legal battle over the copyright of Jimi Hendrix's music is set to go to trial in December at the High Court in London.
