Do not “wait to get worse”.
I don’t care if you’ve “been worse”
Your body is tired of this.
You deserve help in this moment.
I needed this today, thanks.
Additionally: It doesn’t matter if other people “have it worse”.
You deserve help.
Having sensory processing issues is like if every app on your phone was sending unnecessary notifications including apps you never installed & you don't have permission to change the settings. Do Not Disturb is a myth made up by neurotypicals
Also all the notifications make noise at max volume and your phone probably flashes lights at you too
And occasionally an app you swear you uninstalled three or four times already pops up and takes over the whole screen...
eventually the whole system just fuckin freezes
You're always apologizing for not responding to the texts and alerts that you actually care about because they got lost in the mess of other notifications and alerts.
I'm using this analogy anytime someone asks me what sensory overload is like from now on.

For those that need to hear it:
It’s only manipulation when it’s intentional/premeditated. Otherwise it’s just your words having an influence on someone, i.e. The Concept Of Human Interaction.
Sometimes that influence is good, sometimes bad. But never malicious.
Being conscious of whether your words have a positive or negative impact is a noble endeavor, but you’ll never be a piece of shit unless you’re trying to.
Oh thank god
You have no idea how happy this made me
THIS RIGHT HERE
You guys are dangerously close to realizing specifically what kinds of people they keep from voting and why.
I want to drill this into everybody’s head:
The United States of America has the highest prison population in the world
Black Americans and Latin people make up the majority of this population (many of whom are non-violent offenders)
Federal Prisons in America require that their state keeps their prisons at a maximum occupancy at all times.
The 13th amendment did not entirely abolish slavery…just one form of it. It remains legal through industrial prison system
Oh and we have privatized prisons which allow companies to actually make money off of keeping people incarcerated
Here’s what’s really perverse: prisoners, who cannot vote, still get counted in the U.S. Census. The more prisoners a county has, the more representation it gets, even though the prisoners cannot vote. See how that works? The more black and brown people they lock up, the more government resources and political representation they get. Even though those prisoners have no say and cannot vote.
If county-A has a population of 50 voters but no prisons, and county-B has a population of 50 voters and 50 prisoners, the county with the prisoners gets more government funding and more political represention. This is sometimes called “prison gerrymandering” and it is used in redistrictring.
Not so fun Fact: Southern states that reliably vote for Republicans also have the highest prison population in the United States. (source). So mass incarceration is a double whammy. It’s both a form of voter suppression and a tool to strengthen white people’s political power.
This is why we need abolition, not reform.
They told us in school the 13th amendment ended slavery. What it actually did was change the name to “life sentence,” which they then proceeded to pass out disproportionately to people of color, particularly Black and Latinx. Plantations are now called private prisons. And as mentioned, imprisoned people count in the census for purposes of the electoral college and assigning resources to the communities that imprison those people. They changed the three fifths compromise to a whole five fifths, all while pretending they were ending slavery. That’s what “reform” has always looked like in this country. We don’t need reform, we need abolition and redistribution of funds to actual social services.
So I haven’t actually watched this series yet, but this image really clicked things into place for me.
name one native american intellectual off the top of your head, name one native american actor or actress off the top of your head, name one native american senator, one native american news anchor, or an author or a tv personality or a singer or a poet or a comedian, name a single native american teacher you’ve had, can you? probably not
ok so now think of one native american cartoon character you know of or a sports team relating to native americans whether it’s their actual name or their team logo, or a town you live in or near with a “native” name bet a lot of these things came to you right away i bet you didn’t even have to think
needing native representation in media, education and government are not decoy issues, the commercialization and appropriation of native cultures are not decoy issues, the lack of native representation is institutional oppression at work
White people specifically need to reblog this, I don’t CARE if it makes you uncomfortable–that’s the point. Listen to Native voices about Native issues PLEASE
I just opened up a check in the mail, went to the ATM & found 20$ 😭 I’m not passing these shits up NO more on my mama!
Even if I do not receive money or good news, I did smile at seeing this smiling Buddha.
DON'T LET THEM REWRITE HISTORY
Emails sent to news organisations admonish reporting that tear gas was fired at protesters to clear Trump's way.
reblogging because of tumblr's weird link thing so this shows up in the tags
Donald Trump and the liars that make up his administration really want to pretend they never brutally attacked innocent protestors
Sure would be a shame if tons of people reblogged this post and made sure no one ever forgets the vile brutality that Donald Trump ordered against innocent protestors just so he could do a shitty photo-op and pretend he was a real president
Its sketchy but hey its finished. Shout out to that anon who sent me the link to this song, this is all because of you. I used a ton of references and screenshot redraws for this and I even copied some screenshots for this one panel ...I just love these kids so much
This is still amazing. if someone made this into an actual video i would watch it on repeat.
I’ve seen it, and here it is, it’s amazing and totally loop worthy. Nightmare [Miraculous Ladybug PV] It’s by WintermothStudios Both of these mediums for this give me the chills, both are absolutely stunning!

150k notes later and I’ve finally given this an update. In addition to tidying up the wings and adding more feather layers, I’ve also added the #1 request throughout the years: examples.
I’ll be there for you.
ok kids repeat after me
vinegar and bleach makes chlorine gas, which is highly toxic
ammonia and bleach makes chloramine, which is highly toxic
rubbing alcohol and bleach makes chloroform, which is highly toxic
hydrogen peroxide and vinegar makes peracetic/peroxyacetic acid, which can be highly corrosive
be careful about your cleaning products and dont get yourself injured or potentially killed ok
why it so dangerous to be clean
As someone who’s job is to handle chemicals like this, I need to state that this information is IMPORTANT. Plenty of people have accidentally injured or killed themselves at home because they didn’t know what kind of reaction certain substances have with one another. Play it safe and don’t mix chemicals.
Also don’t use bleach to clean up urine it’ll create chloramine bc of the ammonia in it and you can give yourself chemical pnemonia that way
Every time I see “helpful” posts telling people to mix these things while cleaning I cringe with my entire body.
Happiness Will Come To You.

When You Least Expect It. Probably Late March
reblog for happiness to come for you in late march!
I reblogged this last year and I hung out with blink-182 backstage on March 30. Reblogging again because it worked the first time.
honestly, last year one of the best days of my life happened in late March
Wouldn’t mind some happiness in late March.
I hope everything can be ok in late March

I was asked if there were other things like Six Sentence Sunday, and I thought that a full week of fanfic events might be fun. I also thought it would be great to include readers in a way that would allow them to be participants, too!
Feel free to use these images as banners if you decide to participate in any of these days. Learn more about them under the cut.
Note: many of these would apply to other types of fanworks, too!
So I wanna do this! I’m gonna save these pics and include them when I make a post!
I asked my BF to pick a line from my WIP I hope to post. Here’s the line he chose.
I lean in to give him a soft peck, that turns into two, a soft kiss, another, and then he kisses me deeply.
It’s from a simplified version of my first ever MLB fanfic that never made it online. I plan to make more posts about it!
