Today we watched everyone’s videos and the one that stood out to me most was Juan’s group’s video. I liked how he put together all of the interviews, but the ending title slide did not match the rest of the video.

Today I saw olivia and amanda’s storyboard. Their idea was much more simple than ours and it did not have much to do with richland as far as I could tell from the storyboard. I liked their concept but i’m not sure it follows the guidelines for the farewell video.

My least favorite part about my capstone presentation was that no as many people came up to my booth as I would of liked. I spent a year preparing my research and materials, but I did not get to share my hard work with that many people.

My favorite part about my capstone presentation was when people (especially juniors) came up to my booth. I loved answering their questions, and they helped me practice before the judges came.

Today I finished my capstone poster. I used the same methods I used to make my powerpoint, but added my service learning details and some additional diagrams not available within the powerpoint. I also finished my calculations and went further in depth about my end product on the final poster.

Today I finished my title slide and powerpoint presentation. I used the rubric that judges will be using to score me in order to create my powerpoint and my capstone poster.

Today I spent my time collecting statistics for my capstone poster and working on my power point presentation. I took the basics of what I want to talk about during my presentation and applied them to my power point. I am reserving my poster for shocking or interesting statistics.

Today I was working on collecting statistics for my capstone poster

Currently I have a list of rodenticides along with the date they were developed. I plan to use this gathered information to present a simple line graph on the toxicity of rodenticide over time.

Unit 1

Identify or post support materials. Your management of the project is important toward making a successful presentation.

The approach to my presentation will be a simple power point and a fun activity on presentation day.

i. In order to have the activity I want, I will have to buy some graphite and scotch tape. ii. I will be attaching my poster to a tri-fold poster board. iii. I will be dressing formally for my presentation, probably a dress with nice shoes. iv. The most important points to cover in my verbal presentation are the immune rats in the UK, graphene’s toxic qualities, and my end product. v. I am not sure if I will be presenting using a website. It seems cheesy considering I already have a power point with all of the same information.

Unit 1

a) My website will be logical and informational as a tactic for persuasion. I will have a video on my site and a poster for the judges.

b) I plan to use blues and lighter colors in order to lighten the mood. I want to keep my presentation simple and organized in order to allow my audience to follow the information easily.

Unit 1

I am using prior research on my capstone project to help me produce a video for my capstone presentation.

I want the style of my video to look grungy and almost post-apocalyptic.

My topic is the over population of rats in cities and I find that a dirty and post-apocalyptic style will make the video more effective in selling my end product.
