If she wanted all the hugs, he’d happily give them to her. “Feeling a bit better now?” The boy usually didn’t talk about his feelings that much, but he felt like he could trust her with this. Still he didn’t want to unload everything at once. “I mean technically I’m good, but...it’s been a while since my last relationship and sometimes it gets lonely, you know? arthur hadn’t been her first choice. hennessey had dropped at jordyn’s to see if she could trick her out to run errands but had instead stumbled on her roommate. admittedly, she wasn’t hating having arthur with her. his jokes were making the afternoon bearable, even if she had done her share of eye rolling. it was amusing to watch arthur play along and her hand tightened around his waist. “right, honey. we just can’t keep our hands off each other.” she grinned up at arthur until the clerk walked away and then relaxed her grip. “god, could you imagine getting married at this age? fuck that.”

“Our friends and family complain about it a lot.” Arthur breathed out when the clerk walked away. He didn’t think he gave a very convincing performance. “I don’t know, I don’t think it would be that bad. Already having found someone you want to spend the rest of your life with...the sooner you know the more time you get together. But I couldn’t imagine it for me at the moment. You kind of need a partner first before you get engaged and marry.” He paused. “Not that I being in a relationship automatically means I would get married to that person.”
