"I dunno. Gonna have to run some blood tests there, Anakin." When she mentioned interrogation Max forced out a laugh to cover up the fact that okay… maybe he was prying a bit for answers. It was instinct when it came to ‘The Kid,’ as he so dubbed her, considering he had yet to get a straight name out of her. “No, no, no. Just asking friendly questions.” And he tried to imagine her with a gun, malevolent expression on her face as she pulled the trigger and Max really laughed this time. “You? Nah. You’re not a killer, Pinkie Pie.”
"Pinkie Pie? Like the pony? Jeez!" Would it be so hard for one person to give her one nickname that didn't have anything to do with her being blonde or cute or whatever it was that attracted these names? "You're not one of those "bronies", are you? You know, friendly questions are usually things like "how are you?" or "what's your favorite color?" or something."
misspandorasurrey:
"Then I’m out of there faster than you can say ‘BEARS’" Pandora laughed. She’d never been camping in her life, unless she counted in her backyard, which she didn’t. She hadn’t even made it the full night. "Good, because I’d hate it if I missed you and you didn’t miss me." Pandora laughed. "So, I’ve only got one more semester of school. I have to figure out my life soon. I’ve been thinking of staying here. But maybe not. What 'do you think?"
"That wouldn't be fair. I wouldn't do that to you." Rebecca gave her friend a playful nudge. Her expression changed when Pandora changed the subject. "I dunno." she said honestly. She didn't want to tell Pandora that Robin's group traveled and so would Rebecca eventually because Rebecca had gotten used to Regium in a way she never had with any of the other cities the gang stayed in. She wasn't sure yet what it was. "It's kinda dangerous here. Maybe you'd be better off going somewhere safer. I wouldn't want you to get hurt."
optimisticannabeth:
Annabeth always got emotional when she read a book. It didn’t matter the subject, but finishing a book was always really sad to her. It was normally over— unless it was a series. “It’s… nothing. I’m just,” Anna held the book up, showing the cover of Mockingjay.
Rebecca gasped. "Oh no! No spoilers. I haven't gotten to finish that one yet. Katniss doesn't die or anything, right? No, never mind, I don't wanna know. Here." Rebecca unwrapped her scarf from around her neck and held it out to the girl. "You can dry your eyes on this if you want."
whitneymcqueen:
"As long as it’s all in good fun. Exactly! You’ll be alright, I’m sure you’ll find your own good in all of this."
"I think it is... I hope it is anyway. What about you? You didn't lose anyone or anything did you?"
max-iver:
"Regular citizen. Psh. Don’t even try with the Jedi mind tricks. I’m on to you… not sure what I’m on to yet. But, still.” He made a show of looking her over. “Not a scratch on you. Where were you the night of the shooting anyway?”
"I don't have any Jedi mind tricks. I'll have you know my midichlorian count is surprisingly low." Rebecca froze up when he looked her over, but tried to act as normal as possible. Being nervous would only feed his suspicions. "I was at home. I got a tattoo and it was still aching and itching so I decided to just stay home. Is this an interrogation?" she gasped at her next thought. "You don't think I shot you, do you?"

officersoucie:
"Yepp, one of Regium’s finest," she joked, although even as she said the words she knew that was hardly the reputation RPD had lately. "Student, huh, your vast knowledge suddenly makes sense. Studying what?" she asked curiously before nodding at the introduction. "I’m Paula. But of course you can’t tell anyone," she whispered with a wink, keeping in tune with their running joke.
Rebecca made a motion as if to zip her lips. This was of course not one of her talents. "My lips are sealed." she said with a teasing grin. "I'm an English major," yep, she definitely knew enough about books to fake a partial degree on the topic. "But I like to study a little of everything. I read a lot when I was a kid, and I never grew out of it."
max-iver:
"Well, actually, yeah. New one’s a bullet wound on my—HEY. It’s you. Don’t think this scratch is gonna slow me down, kiddo.”
"Me?" Whoops. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her again. Why was this man so convinced he recognized her? Did he? "I, uh, I'm just a regular citizen. Why would you chase after me?"
optimisticannabeth:
Annabeth finished reading the book and closed it with a small smile on her face. She wiped a tear off her face and looked around to see if anyone was watching her.
Rebecca couldn't help noticing the young woman wiping a tear from her face. "What's the matter? Are you alright?" then she noticed the book in her hands. "What're you reading?"
max-iver:
"Wanna know how I got these scars?"
"Do you really have scars?"
dinatremoire:
"I suggest you swing by a library, read up on some of the older newspaper issues. It might do you some good to learn about what kind of city you landed yourself in."
"Newspapers are so... cold. I don't like the narrative. Do you have any stories you could tell me? Those are always much more interesting than newspapers."
whitneymcqueen:
"There are. There’s good bits about everything, everyone. You just have to choose whether or not you’ll choose to see the good in the bad. You’re too young to be pessimistic."
"Oh no, I'm not pessimistic! My friends tease me for being so sunny all the time actually. I agree. Everything has some good in it if you know how to find it."
misspandorasurrey:
Pandora laughed. “I’ve missed you Rebecca.” She didn’t want to hug the blonde woman, but she really did miss her. “I still don’t think the woods are the best place for me to go, but I guess we can always try! There’s probably bears out there.”
"Uh oh. What if they're attracted to my s'mores?" Rebecca briefly imagined herself fighting a bear for a stick of marshmallow before she put the thought out of her mind with a laugh. Hardly a fair fight. She loved s'mores. "I missed you too." she added with a hint of wistfulness.
misspandorasurrey:
She couldn’t help but smile at Rebecca’s smile. She’d always loved to see her friend smile. Pandora liked being able to make people smile. “Oh, no. That’s no good at all. I don’t even like the woods! I’d never want to find you. You’d have to give me clues.”
Rebecca gasped and grinned. "Ooh! We could do it like a scavenger hunt. I'll give you first clue, then run into the woods and have you follow hints until you get to me. I'll make some s'mores while you're out looking as your prize. It'll be fun!"
