someone at work recently said that taylor swift’s fan base is the gayest, and this made me pause. Like, yes, her fans are hella queer, but i would guess that only like 10% of those queer fans are gay men. i’m sayin the other 90% are sapphic women and bisexual men, aka those who get the most beat down by either their internalized misogyny, or their struggle to not fall in line with the patriarchy.  now, we gaze have been labeled sissies, pansies, whatever so like we’re kind of out of that whole patriarchy misogyny thing although not to say, that gays can’t be misogynist cause that would be such a lie.  I’m just saying that we are less likely to relate to somebody who romanticizes their victim hood in the way that Taylor does. we gays are self-destructive and Taylor refuses to see her self is the problem, so why would I pay her any time? This is why the gays love Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Ariana, Nikki, Dua, etc. Because they often show that they are in someway the problem, Beyoncé? Capitalism embodied beautiful, great singer, but capitalism same thing goes for Ariana Lady Gaga is that kind of delusional that just resonates with me on a personal level Dua Lipa is an asshole and won’t let anybody tell her she’s wrong, respect. And Nikki, dear old Nicki, I don’t think I have to say much hear y’all know what’s going on with her. So, to surmise gay men don’t listen to Taylor Swift, because they realize they are the victim of themselves they say that they are the problem
