eunbyul couldn’t help but laugh at the boy’s polite nature, she thought he was adorable. “no no, you’re fine! everything’s okay. i get what you were saying and thank you for the compliment. i’m eunbyul, by the way, it’s nice to meet you,” she smiled, hoping her friendly nature would make him relax.

embarrassment colored the brunet’s cheeks, a nervous titter of laughter slipping from between his lip as he listened to the girl before him. “ oh, thank goodness. the last thing i would want is to upset someone at disney because i put my foot in my mouth. but it’s a pleasure to meet you, eunbyul. i’m minho, or you can always call me the guy with the foot in his mouth. though, that’s a mouthful- no pun intended. ”

eunbyul had never, ever been to any disney park so when the opportunity came, she just couldn’t say no. disney was her childhood and she is still a very big fan. she was completely awestruck at the beauty of it all, her face couldn’t form any expression other than a huge grin. “it’s so gorgeous, but not nearly as gorgeous as my face, of course.”

the comment as enough to pull laughter from the brunet, the corners of his eyes crinkling from the wide smile accompanying it. “ i think they’re both very beautiful, but in their own way to different people. you’re very pretty- pleasant to look at and someone people want to keep looking at. but this place makes you wanna take pictures to remember it forever, you know? not that no one doesn’t want to remember you or anything! sorry, that was rude, wasn’t it? i wasn’t tying to be, i’m so so sorry. ”

     “ at first i didn’t think i would have fun seeing the characters. ” mj mused, thinking back tot he float parade he had just watched. “ but i wouldn’t mind seeing that cinderella again. ” he closed his eyes, thinking back to her, a smirk growing on his lips. “ maybe next time without the gown, though. ” 

“ the gown can be a little overwhelming since the bottom is actually pretty big. it would be a little ridiculous going out on a date with her still in it, though, right? ” the thought was entertaining enough, the image of one of the disney workers walking around in public with their costumes curling his lips into a smile.

     sunny wasn’t even sure why he came. he hated crowded places, and he hated rides, and heights, and everything to do with amusement parks. he had never travelled before, but turned out he was scared of that too. the last thing he needed right now was to be accused of cutting the queue to the bathroom by a man that seemed too stressed to mess with. when sunny didn’t move hastily, the man grabbed his arm harshly to try and manoeuvre him himself. he pulled away quickly, feeling both pain and shock from being grabbed onto. “ please don’t do that. ” he mumbled.

it was pure impulse when minho had wrapped his fingers around the man’s wrist, gently tugging him away from sunny when he had watched the other jolt back from the contact. “ it’s not nice to grab onto people, sir. he wasn’t doing anything wrong and was already moving when you grabbed him, which you had no need for. ” he wasn’t angry, but irritation buzzed beneath his skin as he moved to stand between the two and let the man go, watching him sputter with an angry flush painting his face. minho felt bad, being so rude to the man as he stomped back to his place, but he was more concerned for the other, turning to  look over him for any more signs of discomfort. “ are you okay, sunny? he didn’t hurt you badly, did he? ” even with weeks of silence between the two, he couldn’t stop the sheer concern for the other’s well being twist his gut.

oriana glanced over her shoulder as he spoke, his words were rather refreshing since most strangers weren’t really this polite towards her a shy smile curving on her lips, “ah, it’s no p-p-problem,” she spoke quietly. the silence between them wasn’t awkward or anything, in fact, it made the young girl at ease as she continued on to happily eat her lunch not worrying about anyone else showing up that could ruin her day. brown hues now fixed on the food in front of her before placing it down on her lap as she turned to face him as he spoke, tilting her head in slight confusion as he rambled on. she wasn’t going to deny that the way he was acting was cute, which made her giggle as she shook her head placing both her hands up in defense, “i-i-i don’t mind l-listening to you bl-blabber at all,” it was unusual to have someone say they’d want to willingly talk to her since most simply gave up to have a conversation with the brunette once they realized she had an ‘annoying’ stutter that made is ‘difficult’ to understand what she was saying, “m-most people d-don’t r-r-really want to t-talk to m-me but we can t-t-talk if you r-really want.” she smiled broadly over at him, extending out one hand towards him, “i’m o-oriana, by t-the way..”

minho took the offered hand gently in his own, giving a slow shake as his lips curled into a bright smile. “ it’s a pleasure to meet you, oriana. i’m minho, and trust me when i say that i’ll always want to talk if you’re up to it. ” any hesitance he had had before melted away, leaving a soft warmth in it’s wake as the brunet let his fingers slip away from the girl’s, not wanting to seem weird for holding contact longer than necessary. “ i blabber too much, but thank you for reassuring? i know it’s... tiring at times. ” in all honesty, minho was happy to have made himself another friend in the town. he never thought one could have too many friends anyways. the more the merrier. “ we don’t have to talk if you’re not up to it,” he eased, eyes trailing to the other’s food resting in her lap. “ if you’re hungry you can eat and then we can talk if there’s time? you shouldn’t skip meals, it’s not good. we

“ i’m sorry. we did all we could. ” taeil couldn’t comprehend how he felt standing before the doctor bearing the bad news. it seemed surreal, like a dream. he never expected to hear those words, and they didn’t cause sadness, or fear. they didn’t cause anything. taeil came up blank, his eyes and mind completely empty as he stared at nothing, his lungs struggling to catch a breath. slowly, he turned, and walked away. the sounds of the doctor calling after him were distant and muffled in his ears. he left through the doors, out into the bustling street that he paid no attention to. he couldn’t feel. he couldn’t think. and, as he rounded the corner, he found he couldn’t move, either. taeil’s back collided with the wall, and he slid down it, wrapping his arms around his knees and continuing to stare blankly ahead.

finding his roommate sitting against a building was the last thing minho had expected on his way to lunch from work. his eyebrows furrowed in worrying as he spotted the boy, fear for the other’s well being rooting in his chest and he started towards the other, bottom lip worried between his teeth when he was close enough to not that taeil wasn’t doing.... anything. “ taeil? taeil, are you okay? what’re you doing on the floor? ” his fingers curled around the other male’s shoulder delicately, scared to frightened the boy from whatever was going through his mind. “ did something happen, ” he murmured, leaning closer to the male and away from the people walking around them.

           sunny jumped at the voice, although upon seeing who it had come from, his features softened and he was instantly calm. “ i can’t … ” sunny started, his cheeks pink with embarrassment. “ i can’t swim. ” he admitted sheepishly. sunny couldn’t help but smile as he found the other’s contagious.

minho blinked, registering the words spoken for a brief moment, before letting his features soften. “ that’s okay. we can sit on the side if the pool and dip or feet in to keep cool if you’d like? or we can stay in the shallow end of the pool? ” He offered the other a gentle smile, hand hesitantly resting atop sunny’s shoulder. “ it’s too hot to not get a little wet and i’d rather not see you get a heatstroke. ”

“I can’t believe we’re paying for this trashy wifi connection, I would’ve stayed at home if I knew it’d be this useless,” he murmmured to himself smacking his laptop shut. A loud sigh escaped the male’s lips as he looked around trying to find what to do, “is there anything even worth looking at here?”

“ you would have missed out on the trip of a lifetime if you had stayed home! unless you travel often, then i guess you wouldn’t have? but, i mean, it’s still nice to be here for free- at least to an extent- right? ” he asked, teeth worrying the bottom of his lips for a moment, worry weighing in his gut that he had butted into something that didn’t call for his two cents. “ b-but, hawaii’s a beautiful place though! they have scuba lessons to see the reefs and aquariums to visit. the food is amazing here too if you’re interested in trying new dishes. ”

      sunny was never the most body confident, and although he was at risk of overheating, he was nervous to expose any more skin than he already was. he never liked attention, and that was clear as he decided to hide in the doorway of the pool building, watching as people bathed and played instead of stepping out into the sun. 

“ you know, ” minho started, eyes softening as they looked over the familiar figure standing in the doorway. “ i heard that actually getting in the pool is a lot more fun than watching the people splash around in it. a lot cooler too, ” he teased gently, lips curling into a small smile as he settled next to the other- close, but nowhere near touching.

“ oh, hi, “ cheol blinked at the other, speaking through a mouthful of food, giving them his best chubby smile, “ do you want some ?? “ he offered, pointing at his shrimp he’d gotten from a shack nearby

minho blinked at the words, confusion casing his eyebrows to furrow as he mused over the male’s words before watching the other’s finger point to his food. embarrassment colored his cheeks, realizing he must have been staring and shook his head. “ i couldn’t eat your food. you bought it and it would be a little... weird, wouldn’t it? since we hardly know one another? ”

mj could have been gazing at the sun, or how beautiful the sky looked. but, mj being mj, he found his attention much more focused on the number of people in their swimsuits. for a while,he was enjoying the sight, until someone stepped in front of him. “ hey, you’re blocking the view. ” he complained.

it was too hot out, exposed skin burning from the sun and minho knew that he should have stayed indoors or at least lathered on some sunscreen. the heat was probably the reason he was in search of some shade, eyes landing on nothing that screamed ‘ safety ’ to him and he stopped to survey his surroundings again. the voice calling out surprised him, made the brunet jump and swivel around to glance at the boy, a sheepish smile gracing his lips. “ sorry, sorry! i was just looking for shade to hide out in and- sorry, i’ll move. i didn’t mean to be in your way. ”
