In my country, the general consensus, be it with right leaning or left leaning demographic, is "we dont like him, lets hope he does something good at least"

We got demons with feelings, demons to be pitied, demons with the capacity to do good,

But why?

Maybe its because the question of what warrant forgiveness hasnt been answered yet. Perhaps was it not convinient to answer it at the time, not needed?

Maybe thats why redemption arcs are so hard to write, because our society dont really have a space for forgiveness.
