Day 1: 2nd August 2025
Concentric circles converge

I look into the past and stare down

We exit to enter the same way we came.

My mind wrung tight around a helical staircase

We are starting up the daily again. This should be fun.
Ive done no studying, no learning, nothing to improve. This isnt meant to be good, its meant to be me.
Day 100: 15th November 2021
People carry trinkets
Out into the dark,
Like squirrels clutching acorns
In the autumn's fading light,
To trade by moonlight or fireside
Let the black sky coax them
Out of deep pockets
In the absence of light's
Most scrutenous glare.
That is why I am sitting
Alone
Under the cover of a blue winter's nighttime
That I may pull out my heart, still beating
Into the cool and cripsing air.
Day 99: 14th Novemeber 2021
Some days hope comes to me
In the form of a future where I am understood
By a soul filled with light
Wrapped in a ball of fur with four tiny legs
And a mind designed to love.
Day 98: 13th Novemeber 2021
Beneath the warm, gold glow of a roadside streetlight
The ghost of a girl stands staring, up
Into the cone of light
Cast down as if the world, turned blue,
Had beamed her down from the sky.
She stands there curiously.
Her arms hanging like laundry hung to dry,
No motion.
Her body letting light bleed through the gaps in her existence,
No tension.
Her posture studying the works of the human senses,
Intention. A mind that knows intention.
The ghost of the girl stays longer,
She will leave when her time runs thin.
Conclusions, drawn not at completion
But in remembrance of how it felt to live.
Day 97: 13th November 2021
On that day they threw us
A wishbone from the carcass
We had salvaged
With our own blood, spilt
From our crooked forms and
Minds left slumped.
And they waited
For the applause
In celebration of their charity
And gesture of good will.
And we just smiled and worked.
Day 96: 11th November 2021
Lord,
I think I have spent enough time
Living for myself.
Tell me when
My heart can beat for someone else
Instead.
Day 95: 10th November 2021
When I lay down in this bed
I feel the earth's persistant tugging
dragging me down by the skin, back to
an older update, an earlier version that
this hardware has known so well.
But maybe that's just the time talking.
Weeks passed by in minutes.
I think this time I think I know
how I choose to step out of my skin.
Let it fall back onto an emptier skeleton
and leave what's left to crumble
into dust.
Day 94: 9th Novemeber 2021
Nine to five, nine to
Five. Carry your work in your
Head. Carry their horrors and
Darkest abysses and take them
Back home to dissect. A mess
Of To Do lists and piling high
Laundry's enough to fly flags of
Neglect. Chaos works hard to keep
Brain feeling stuffed up to stave off the feeling
So lonely. So lonely. Keep shovelling
Sad films and anger fueled French rants
In hollowed out caves call it
Purpose. I live for my work
Give me purpose.

The Threat

Day 92: 7th November 2021
Some days there is nothing there to say
when I've spent my whole day cramming
short burst of bright lights plugged straight into my
brain jacking in to make the dopamine ping
and now there's nothing there for me to say.
Like worms let the words flashed up sink
deep through soft flesh feels good until
there's nothing left.
When you've taken in the worms to
take out all the things you feel until
there's nothing left.
And then there's nothing left.
Day 91: 6th November 2021
Fire sparks
Next to leaping hearts
In the cool November air.
Forget our masks
With tender laughs
Thrown out into the night.
Before we part
There in the dark
We sit, take in the quiet.
Day 90: 5th November 2021
And on some days your brain it takes
A beating from inside
The flesh that's left might bare its teeth
The gas awaits a light
Or else the faithful zealot leads with
Words to shame the damned
And on some days exhaustion leaves
You feeling nothing at all
Day 89: 4th November 2021
Can you ever miss something
That you've never had?
A sordid longing for faces unknown
A life never lived
A look never returned.
In my mind I've lived one thousand lives
Each one folded, a paper lucky star,
Captured in a jar and placed high for
Remembrance.
Perhaps these stars are what I miss
Small fragments from my mind
Grown fresh and torn away to feed
The leach inside the lonely.
