One of my absolute favorite Vax episodes is “One Year Later” because not only is Vax in a much better place but clearly Liam is too and you can just feel the joy through that character throughout the episode.

Describing settling down with Keyleth, getting happy couple tattoos, happy flying times, and man, EVERYTHING about the beach vacation is so good! The escalating prank on Tary that leads to Vex sending Trinket running after a naked Vax is honestly a highlight of the campaign for me.

Vax was the kind of guy who makes funny faces at his sister while invisible, and shaves half of Grog’s beard for a laugh, who ties ribbons through Trinket’s fur, who named his snake-belt, who looked at the little heart his sister carved in the Boots of Haste and thought “aw, she loves me”, who once got drunk and locked himself in a closet....AND he’s a person who struggled with depression.

Having both of those things, in the same character, is incredibly important to me.
