Wings of Fire headcanons: Common tribe names
IceWings: I think IceWings commoners would be in the habit of naming their dragonets after royalty, so any member of nobility becoming very notable usually leads to a large increase in their name’s popularity.
- Caribou (most common; because of princess Caribou’s gift of subsistence, she became unbelievably beloved by the people, the name has retained its number 1 spot on IceWing naming charts for centuries)
- Diamond/other blue, white or transparent minerals (losing popularity)
- Glacier (especially after her murder by Darkstalker)
- Snow-something (Snowflake, Snowstorm, Snowfall (into queen Snowfall’s reign the amount of IceWings named this SKYROCKETS, even more so than the usual queen’s name))
- Aurora/Borealis
- Winter (an exception to the royalty name -> popularity rule, it was already a common name before the prince, his parents just didn’t care enough to think of something original)
I found an old drawing I did of Winter.
Like old, old.

Slowly returning to my dragon roots…
Wanted to draw dragons wanted to apply my newfound design skills to Winter. Might do the rest of em too soon, I’ve ideas for Moonwatcher
All I can think about is Kestrel not dying and given a chance to show that small side of her that worried about those young Dragons that she had shown shortly the last time we saw her.
Trying to find a style to draw in is honestly harder than i thought.
Not entirely happy with my style BUT it should evolve the more I draw them all so, here's to that.
Seashell my bigender librarian in love with her Queen.
Still figuring out how I want to draw these Dragons but um, mudwing OC, her name is Dungus.
Time for me to talk about my oc tribes.
Cavewings like Bonewings live underground but they live in two separate areas
Cavewings like damp areas and have a moss aesthetic to them also may have a few mushrooms growing on the moss that sticks to them and they generally have reflective underwings. They're mostly black, brown, green and purple, they befriend frogs and can't stand to be out in the sun for too long or away from damp areas otherwise they dry up. They purely have night vision and the outside world can be too bright for them during the day so if they do come out of their Caves they come out at night. Cavewings love to roll around in wet moss. Instead of fire they exert water.
Bonewings have a Skeleton head and claws and tails also the bone at the top part of their wings, also their spines have bones sticking out the rest of their bodies are generally black and grey or brown, maybe dusty yellow and live under the dessert. Bonewings are generally silent creatures and like to sleep a lot, they often grind their teeth and scratch their claws against animal bones for stimulation purposes, they enjoy the warm and dry environment and are uncomfortable damp or wet. Bonewings also really enjoy gold and jewels and can most often be found decorated in them, even their young.
Wof oc idea- a mute rainwing makes friends with some seawings who teach them aquatic which they can then emulate with their scales
GENIUS :0
Not me trying to figure out the face shapes amd general anatomy for each tribe
