Why does being in your early 20s feel so much like only having 5 years of your life left in which you need to achieve as much as possible? why do I feel like I have an approaching deadline for success?
Because your life has been thus far stratified into chunks of 4 years to reach major accomplishments. 4 years to graduate high school, 4 years to graduate college, then you're an adult and you feel like you have 4 years to succeed at adulthood. Which so far doesn't seem to even be a thing.
At least that's my running theory. And yet I still feel this way most days.
Don’t assume malice. Assume ignorance. Life is easier, the world is kinder, and you can educate. Actual malice is pretty rare, I find.
Always remember Hanlon’s Razor–”Never assume malice when incompetence will suffice as an explanation.”
That’s said, never forget Fred Clark’s Law, either: “Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.” There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice–at which there is simply no way to become that ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

I... I've never seen an English caption translated to Russian. Like I figured it must happen but I always see cat pictures with Russian captions translated to English.
What a beautiful cultural exchange.
I mean the difference I think would be accountability. Ya ideally there wouldn't be anyone spending huge money to influence politicians but if it's going to happen I'd really like to know who controls who. They're both far from perfect but still not equivalent.
