what are your top 3 kÀÀrijÀ gigs you have been to?
Ooooh good question! Also evil! Lemme see how many different gigs I manage to sneak in this list of three!
Eurodisko. I mean. Come on. That was some epic shit. Usually, I vastly prefer small gigs to arena shows, but this was too good. The production, the love, all the guests, the atmosphere. Too many things to even absorb! I just want to own this so I can watch it over and over.
Apollo, November 2023. This was the first Finnish gig after his first Eurotour, and there was such a vibe of a returning hero coming home (with a healthy side of "welcome home cheater" heh). It was sweaty and crazy and horny and he seemed so happy and surprised. Every time he mentions that we don't feel like a Finnish audience is when you know it's good. (even though it stings a little every time, too, like, I get that gigs abroad are a special breed, but we love you too! but yeah, always nice to get a good grade in Audience.)
Both Tampere Pakkahuone gigs have had this same vibe, by the way. I'm certain there's something in the air in Tampere that just meshes well with him. The first one was just before his first Eurotour in 2023 (the site of the Big Huhhahhei Betrayal of 2023 [doing it in soundcheck but not at the gig and then premiering it in Sweden]) and just before his 30th birthday, and also it was my first KÀÀrijÀ gig so it was like a sledgehammer to the face. The second Pakkahuone was in Dec 2024, and that too was so warm and fuzzy and crazy and he had such good, long stories and GAH. TAKA ME BACK.
both Kaisla gigs I've been to (2024 and 2025), I hate and love that venue for being so small and sweaty and leaving most of the audience OUTSIDE looking in through WINDOWS, but there he's so close you can see every drop of sweat and he's so unhinged and I don't get why we even got him at a venue like that??
And as for festivals, I will always love Himos 2024 because it's my one and only barricade (festivals are nice like that you can just walk up there an hour or two before showtime and get barricade) and the premiere of blond Jere (what a collective meltdown that was! A picture taken by me was in Iltalehti :D).
And of course Ruisrock 2024 which gave us Trafik. That whole day was a crazy ride. Never wanna do it again but I'm glad we got to experience it all together â€ïž
EDIT. Böle afterparty! Legendary!
