TW: police brutality, murder

About a month ago, ten Mexican cops arrested and murdered Giovanni López, a construction worker from Jalisco, for not wearing a mask. The town’s mayor offered the family 200,000 pesos (less than 10k dollars) to keep it quiet and threatened to kill them if they didn’t. The family still spoke up.

The cops responsible are still in the streets. They haven’t been fired or suspended.

A man named Giovanni was murdered by Mexican police in the state of Jalisco. Police say they put him in custody because he wasn't wearing a face mask. But even if that was real, they had no right to beat him to death. And everything got caught up on video.

This happens everywhere, this has happened many times before and it should not be happening now nor ever again. Justicia para Giovanni.
