HSE Officer (HSE-II) â Machine Shop / Workshop Location: Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to ensure safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture within our machine shop and workshop operations. The role requires hands-on involvement in monitoring daily activities, identifying potential hazards, and implementing effective control measures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular shop-floor inspections across CNC, lathe, milling, and welding areas.
Monitor and enforce compliance with machine safety protocols and statutory HSE requirements.
Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for identified hazards.
Lead and document incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Oversee compliance with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, PPE usage, and fire safety standards.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
Promote behavioural safety practices and conduct toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation as per company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Safety / Industrial Safety / Environmental Management.
NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred.
5â8 years of relevant experience in HSE within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
Strong understanding of mechanical workshop operations and associated safety risks.
Excellent communication, observation, and reporting skills.
