I was REALLY looking forward to Sans’ and Frisk/Chara’s “dinner date” at the MTT Resort...did you have plans for that? Or even just plans on if Chara’s view on Sans or even Papyrus had changed? I love your artwork btw it’s so nice <33

Was mettaton able to see Chara?

Yeah, that was never gonna be covered here, it was gonna be like... a post content thing if I ever actually finished and wanted to continue with things that happened afterwards which I always doubted I’d actually want to do. I actually thought up a couple buckwild things for if this blog kept going that I’m actually kinda happier will never happen lmao.

for mettaton, I had this idea where he has a super low budget super late night talk show on human tv because that’s about all he could get. so it’s the kind of show the monsters are obsessed with exclusively bc it’s mettaton and maybe like 2 humans watch it. anyways frisk gets invited on one night for an interview bc they’re the human that freed the monsters so theyre SUPER famous. absolutely everyone is in the audience watching it. chara’s with frisk the whole time making dumb jokes until mtt finally snaps midway though the interview and turns to them like “so, chara dreemurr-” and asks some random question. and of course everyone’s shocked and/or horrified. that’s when mettaton pulls back a curtain to show some weird tech and a screen that shows the stage with a blur where chara is and mtt announces that they’re actually in the premiere of his brand new ghost hunting show. chara’s like why have you done this and mtt’s like revenge. after that theres a ton of fallout bc no one had any idea chara was even around. and then chara and flowey steal frisk’s computer to write a bad review for the tv show and they get a bunch of comments like “just claiming to be the ghost for attention”, “if you’re really the ghost why cant i contact you on my ouija board”? Etc.

Are you sure about continuing the Hard Mode blog? I don't want the expectations of what it should be to harm you too.

these questions are kinda same hat

hard mode is very different from ftc bc it employs all the things i’ve learned from doing this: planning and how to be concise. ftc was “planned” by me taking screenshots of game dialogue and then writing and drawing around them as I went which led to me dragging things out WAY longer than necessary and doing way more things that simply didn’t need to be done. If I did better about this from the start, ftc could have been finished within a few months like I had wanted to do. hard mode is written all the way to the end of the story, cuts out a ton of content, and I actually like... sketch out my pages ahead of time which is something i DID NOT do with ftc. in essence, it’s way shorter which is much easier to take on. plus, hard mode has an interesting and unique story. the biggest challenge it presents is that I try to actually make it look good.

to answer the other question, if you’re asking if I’m going to make ftc2: this time it’s shorter and finished, no probably not. I’d need to hit some wild blast of inspiration to do that. I thought of it before, probably when I got into waterfall and started to realize how much I didn’t need to have done. I realized then that if I restarted, all it would probably get me is two equally unfinished versions of the same story

So I always wanted to know what Chara's and Frisk's past were

this has been a hot topic on all of my blogs. I actually think that I got an ask about this same thing on hard mode and when i said it wasnt important and i wasnt going to cover it i lost followers?? its weird to me

anyways I was never going to cover this but I chara’s basically super shitty neglectful and abusive family, but they love their mom who’s a horrible alcoholic and says some batshit things. their mom dies of the alcoholism so they run off to the mountain. frisk was way less thought out but i kinda figured they had good parents who tied in like a car crash or smth which left them orphaned, trauma left them mute, and then they were bullied like crazy bc they were a weirdo who wouldnt talk

I'm sorry for how you feel, and i understand and support your decision, you need to do what you gotta do for your mental health. But i feel the need to say that me, and i think others too, didn't follow you in need for the originality or novelty, but mostly for your interpretation and the humor you've been able to put out. Not every work needs new interpretations or different takes, sometimes just adding a bit of color can make a great difference.

A lot of people have been saying this and I do appreciate it a lot. I really do.

What I wrote originally was kind of a rushed simplification of the matter. Despite how fun it had been, certain comments people made put the thought in my mind that people were looking for more when this blog was only ever supposed to be something small and simple. My perfectionism and my need to fulfill everyones desires turned this blog into something much bigger and more detailed that I was unable to balance with my everyday life, namely college. Which this very much got in the way of. But college also got in the way of this because as things got more serious, I was pressured a lot more to make excellent original work rather than work that was fun for me. This blog was not original, it was not of professional benefit to me (at least so I was told), and none of the work I was making was ever good enough. pressure was applied, time passed, i began to struggle, etc. etc. guilt complex.

so tl;dr the issue here is actually something that never should have happened because my thought processes surrounding this originality thing aren’t really true despite what I was told, but I don’t think continuing to work here would make anything better regardless
