I loveeeee the idea of her dress poofing out!!! I'm glad you like her design so much! I had a lot fun making her. I'm gonna yap a bit more for the reasoning behind the dress tweaks specifically. As much as I like the og avatar, it's very cute but it doesn't really sell the princess vibe of the animations so I decided to make it a more flowly dress, I liked the cat element so I simply made the bodice into one. I also found it funny that despite her being the rose flavour, she didn't have any roses on her??? So, I of course added those on her choker and her heels. I kept the color pallet the same because I didn't wanna change it up too much but I still wanted it to be more overtly 'princess', yknow?
Also also, I loveeeee the sword hilt in your art, the rose on its is perfect!

I like the grape avatar but I lowk thought it was a brighteyes skin for a minute...oopsie, js makes me think that when Grape came to save Shedletsky, he probably went 'Christina?' before realizing that this was some random person LOL
I'm glad to flesh out Rose a bit more because while I like the base player designs that everyone has come up with, imo, there is a severe lack of femme representation in playersonas and the avatar flavours provide such a perfect opportunity.
I'll probably try my hand at some ToxicRose art later (heavy on the probably), especially since I love pink and green as a color combo :>

reaaaaalest about the lack of fems up in playerville zohmygoshhh ,, and i feel like that applies 2 a lot of the interps of blank-slate/up-to-interp characters in fandom ? masc/masc-leaning is sort of the go-to ; _ ; which makes this design + the flavors such a refressherrrr (+perf opportunities to change that, as you said)!!!!
