This but also with transmasc that are mostly portrayed as not having bottom surgery.
Like realistically, as a transmasc myself I will NEVER get bottom surgery. It's too risky.
You have a 50/50 chance of complications during surgery, infections will rage on for YEARS, urethrea will close, sometimes even kidney failure. I could NEVER for the sake of my own saftey.
People are like "trans men in media should have bottom surgery aswell! Because otherwise is a fetish!" Like, a lot of us just don't want it. Maybe a uterus removal would be okay, but I could never get a willy.
Small "Twink" like trans men aren't fetish, it's just representing that not all transmascs look the same, same with enbies.
People prefer their own styles and choices, doesn't mean it's an automatically a fetish.
I swear, if it's a tomboy, she's cool and swag and fun to hangout with. But the second it's a femboy, it's a fetish.
If it's a cis guy, he's fine. If he's trans, he's a fetish. It's so. Fucking. Dumb.
Me choosing to wear a dress as a joke sometimes isn't something to beat yourself to, me getting top surgery isn't a fetish, and me getting testosterone SHOULDN'T BE SEEN AS A FETISH.
A majority of my male characters/enbies are transmasc, and all don't have bottom surgery because I feel comfort in characters I can relate to being transmasc (Two Time, 1x1x1x1, 007n7, my persona, etc.)
I'm not fetishizing them for not having bottom surgery, it's just an obvious statistic that trans men prefer top surgery over bottom surgery because top surgery is just the removal of milk glands, fat, and soft tissue, then sealed off. Complications almost never happen unless you cut too deep. Bottom surgery is 100 times riskier, and has resulted in trans guys loosing kidneys. It's a preference.
I'm insanely dysphoric about my body, yet I still care about my saftey above all, I'm tired of "trans men in media are fetishes because (bla bla bla) LIKE STOP.
