âI like to think so - mostly because itâs all I have, so why not stick to it?â She mused, with a shrug.
âFair point.â Fleur nodded. âI think that is an outlook not many people have.â

âI like to think so - mostly because itâs all I have, so why not stick to it?â She mused, with a shrug.
âFair point.â Fleur nodded. âI think that is an outlook not many people have.â

âMy favourite is queue. Five letters, four of them silent.â At her last comment he pouted and leaned back in his seat. If only she knew that that was one of the least crazy things about his life. âSorry but, as much as I wish it werenât true, Iâm afraid Iâm real. Canât say Iâm certain about everything else. Although, stranger things have happened.âÂ
âAnd yet French is difficult?â Fleur tilted her head. Honestly, French had more unpronounced vowels than English did, but she couldnât help the retort. She opened her eyes and sighed, leaning her head back against the chair. âIf I was imagining you Iâd be very concerned. Not that itâd be much worse than whatâs happening now.â

rory had never been too affected by the caffeine content in the coffee, but it was a comforting taste and it did help her keep her energy up.  âright? and thereâs so many to choose from. though i usually just prefer to drink it black with a bit of sugar on occasion.â rory shrugged her shoulders. she never understood the starbucks trend of flavored coffees that tasted drowned in milk. Â
âOh, I know. Black really is my favorite, but I have to admit anything peppermint or pumpkin, Iâm all about,â Fleur laughed. It couldnât get any more basic than that, but she liked her coffee that way.Â
madefrcmstarsâ:
âoh, no iâm pretty sure itâs in mine. my mother drinks so much coffee that i get it from her.â she was joking, but it also felt like her love of coffee did, in fact, come from her dnaâfrom her mother.  âmom used to let me sip at her coffee when i was little, so iâve probably been drinking it literally before i can remember.â
âWell, thatâs kinda neat,â Fleur replied, smiling. If she had had coffee when she was a kid, she could only imagine how much sheâd need now to stay awake. âIt is probably one of my favorite beverages.â
ofhecrtbectsâ:
âcoffee is way too addictive for everyoneâs own good,â the blonde witch hummed in slight amusement but not that she could talk because honestly, she was affected by coffee too. âitâs insane if they did,â
âRight? It has no business being as good as it is,â Fleur chuckled, finally taking a sip of her coffee. She could barely remember a time when she hadnât liked coffee ( and sheâd certainly developed a taste for it rather quickly after that ). âI completely agree.â
spiritsandspiritsâ:
âNothingâs wrong with it, per se⊠excluding the spelling,â he coughed, âbut I personally would rather something a little more⊠unique. Everyone learns French at school or whatever, whereâs the thrill in that?â Klaus rolled his eyes. Despite not formally going to school, his father had insisted that he and his siblings study several major foreign languages, even going so far as to present them all with a copy of Notre Dame de Paris in the original French. Klaus couldnât remember exactly what happened to his book, but he was sure the blaze in the fireplace had been extra snug that night. âWell, maybe him, maybe a different pope, all I know is he wears that big hat thingy and he always seems very angry about something. Maybe because heâs still stuck in our bathroom instead of lighting up with the big sky daddy or mommy upstairs like he was promised.â
âI could say the same thing about English. There are some words that the spelling makes absolutely no sense,â Fleur countered. Sheâd certainly had difficult times remembering which vowels were pronounced and which werenât ( in either language ) so she understood where he was coming from. âThe pope is stuck in our bathroom...â she repeated, not sure if she truly understood. âIâm going crazy. None of this is real.â She closed her eyes, shaking her head. âIâm just gonna wake up one day and none of this will have happened.â
sweethrtedtmâ:
âIt might be a weird thing, but Iâve always found it comforting to tell myself things could be worse if they start going downhill. It reminds me to be glad for what I do have, even if thereâs things going on that arenât great.â
âThatâs a good way to cope,â Fleur replied, smiling softly. When she took a step back, things in her life were going pretty well, aside from not being able to sleep much. Things really couldâve been a lot worse.Â
spiritsandspiritsâ:
âFrench shmench,â he scoffed, waving a hand around nonchalantly. âCome on Fleur, Latin would be useful; I could finally understand what Pope Benedict the first keeps saying to me whenever he pops out of the wall when Iâm having a shit. Not that that happens often⊠just occasionally,â he grinned.
âWhatâs wrong with French?â Fleur narrowed her eyes as she looked at him. Maybe it was the fact that sheâd grown up speaking French that made her defensive about it. âPope Benedict the first pops out of the wall at you?â At least she wasnât the only crazy one here.

âWhoâd have thought Iâd get bored of doing nothing?â He drummed his fingers on the table absentmindedly. âItâs always been my dream, but⊠I think I need a hobby. I could learn how to play an instrument?â Klaus paused and raised a quizzical eyebrow at the person sitting opposite, then just as quickly started talking again, leaning back and stroking his chin. âBut Iâve already mastered the tambourine, maracas and triangle. Maybe a language? I hear Latinâs all the rage nowadays.â
Fleur looked up from her book as her roommate spoke. She sighed, closing it and setting it in her lap. âI much prefer French. Though, I suppose Latin is as good a language to learn as any.â
sweethrtedtmâ:
âPossessed? Sounds like a conspiracy theory.â She quipped. âSounds like something you should put online and would become instantly popular. Might be a weird thing to boast about, but itâd be something different.â
âI donât know if itâs a conspiracy theory. More of a general annoyance,â Fleur chuckled, shaking her head. She was pretty sure everyone else had had the same idea hundreds of times.
sweethrtedtmâ:
âIt might be an understatement, but somehow doesnât make it seem as bad to say people need a little luck. Instead of everyone needing as many lucky charms as they could get their hands on.â She teased, though it did seem lately that there was something wrong with the island. Something that was a little off, but she could never put her finger on it - and books were not helping her. âAt least it never gets boring around here, I guess weâre lucky in that aspect. Itâs all about perspective, right?â
âYeah, I guess that makes sense,â Fleur chuckled. She could only imagine how bad it would sounds to say that everybody needed lucky charms. But she certainly needed quite a few, if only to be able to really sleep at night. âPerspective, yeah.â
were-jakeâ:
âMmmmhm.â Jacob nodded and sagged his head into his palm. He blinked slowly, turning his gaze from the baristas at work to the woman beside him. âI should just get a coffee IV drip at this point. But, then Iâd put these guys out of business. I mean, who else is gonna stop in here twelve times a day?â
âJust you and me, man,â Fleur replied. Honestly, if they had a full blown cafe in their apartment, she doubted she would ever leave except to work. She chuckled softly at her roommate. âAre you getting any sleep?â
madefrcmstarsâ:
rory lifted her head as she heard someoneâs voice and smirked, nodding her head.  âoh, i live off of coffee.â she nodded her head.  âmy mom jokes that i came out ready for a cup.â which was true, since lorelai hadnât stopped drinking coffee at all and lorelai had let rory drink sips from her cup even as a kid.  âitâs kind of like itâs in my dna.â she joked, laughing.
âI donât know if itâs in my DNA, but I definitely couldnât go without it,â Fleur chuckled. âI think I started drinking it regularly in middle school and itâs gotten worse the older I get.â
cftragediiesâ:
âIâd get that if you lived somewhere gloomy, but itâs always sunny here. Thereâs always a constant flow of vitamin D.â But even with the vitamin D, people used coffee for various reasons, like taking the edge off. It wasnât hard to tell that this woman however was tired, âTrouble sleeping?â
âSometimes the sun is all that keeps me awake,â Fleur replied, sighing. It kept her awake when she didnât want to be awake. She offered thanks as she took her coffee, sipped it, then turned back to the woman. âIs it that obvious?â
ofhecrtbectsâ:
it was easier when a customer knew what they wanted and with that information, the auburn haired woman made her way over to the romance section, âiâm not great at recommending romance novels but this is one of our best sellers,â hope nodded her head, holding out twilight.
Fleur could barely hold back the chuckle that left her lips. âOh, I read that ages ago. I donât think itâs for me.â She shook her head gently. âIâll be able to find something, Iâm sure.â
ofhecrtbectsâ:
âit is a habit that i am finding extremely difficult to break but it is what it is,â the blonde shrugged one shoulder up. there was no way she could even consider giving up especially since she was up for nearly 24-48 hours at a time.
âOh, I donât think I could give up coffee,â Fleur replied. Not when she worked 12 hour shifts ( or longer ) and then was still up for hours later. âI donât think Iâve heard of anyone giving up coffee.â
