hydration anon here to apologise for my lack of presence.The amount of pain African Americans have faced. As a black person in America I’ve never felt more scared to be alive yet I’ve never been more proud of witches using their craft to help protesters, groups coming together despite differences, non poc people protecting people of color.There is a flame in all of us that will light the way to a better future. You can keep this on you during protests or have it on the front or back of your banners or signs.

In case you are pepper sprayed or tear gassed while protesting : ~Have whole milk (or milk of magnesia which is an antacid is most effective with pepper spray) on you to put in your eyes to help neutralize the sting a bit DISCLAIMER: Sources on google are kinda split on the topic but about a third of the sources I’m seeing say water works about as effectively as milk for pepper spray, but other sources say milk is better. So choose for yourself on that one and what you can afford ~Keep your breathing low and slow. Breath in through your mouth and out through your nose, you DO NOT want that shit in your nose, they taught my mom this during her short time in the Navy when they had to do exercises in a tear gas chamber for as long as they could. (I don’t think this applies so much to pepper spray)

Look, just like the fact that this quarantine is not a “writer’s retreat”, this quarantine is also not a witch’s festival or coven meet-up. Just because you are at home doesn’t automatically mean that you have to organize this big ritual or create a new sigil or spell every day. Those lists on how you can utilize this quarantine to your witchy benefit are great in theory (I made a whole post on some), don’t get me wrong, but don’t expect yourself to follow up on every item.

Fingers and Rings in Magick

Wearing rings imply bond and eternity, with or without a gemstone, since antiquity rings were linked to magic, rituals, and bonding ceremonies. Apart from defense, rings can also act as a tool for self-transformation, depending on the use and the materials from which it is made. 

It is very important to note the placement of the ring (upon which finger it is worn). The reason is that it utilizes specific planetary energies associated with the finger and enables the aforementioned characteristics. If one uses the convention of the projective hand and a receptive hand, that also matters how the ring will work.

Please note that it is not good to wear too many rings all at once (especially on the same finger) because the energies get entangled and sometimes imbalances and interactions occur (or they may cancel each other out). Few rings can be worn on more than one finger, but in this case the benefits of the right changes at the right moments can be great indeed. Also, if such swaps are combined at the right circumstances with planetary hours, then one can truly harness the full potential of the finger in conjunction with the planet.

Additionally, not all stones are suitable for all fingers. A detailed study of each gemstone will help as to what is proper and helpful, and what ought to be avoided. Be sure to choose a stone which matches the correspondence of the finger. If one is negligent or does not care for this, it could lead to energy imbalances and potential excesses. Also it would be wise to avoid wearing rings with gems inhabited by spirits, as such could potentially lead to binding those to the wearer’s aura (unless that is desired).
