🔮💎 WITCHY WAYS TO EXECUTE THE 7 TYPES OF SELF-CARE (feel free to add more magical applications, these are off the top of my head) 💎🔮
Physical: Exercise, eating right, paying attention to hunger and pain cues, hygiene. Witchy applications: ritual through dance, go on a run as a cleansing technique (and have a long shower afterwards), use kitchen witchery to make healthy foods, make a charm that increases appetite or reminds you to eat when you look at it, use some witchy tools to help reduce discomfort, take a ritual bath or shower with nice herbs before a ritual or just because (or as a spell in itself), clean your house to suck out the bad vibes
Emotional: identifying, expressing and accepting yourself. You could try spells for letting go, making spell bottles look extra nice, decorating an altar (form of art), decorate a page in your grimoire, glamour spells to help yourself and others to see your good attributes, design sigils, make rune stones
Spiritual: giving life meaning. Spend some time outside with nature, worship your deities (if you’re into that), write an entry in your grimoire about your moral beliefs and values, astral work for hedge witches, meditate
Intellectual: keeping your mind engaged. Research herbs, deities, or stones, write your own spells, memorise tarot or oracle cards or new spreads, analyse the spells of others or why past spells worked/ didn’t work, read witchy books
Social: keeping in touch with others. Do a nice spell for someone else (with their consent), make witchy things for others as gifts, do readings for others, (if you’re lucky to have other witches around you) practise in a group, keep up your cutie witch blog and discuss witchcraft with others
Relational: this one’s about keeping in touch with family. Same as above, but remember you don’t have to keep in touch if they are bad to you!! If you have witches in the family, it might be fun to examine their practise, how it influenced and differs to your own.
Safety and security: ensuring that you feel protected. Create a witch jar, create or buy a house guardian or poppet to protect your property, learn to bring up (or strengthen) spiritual barriers, scatter salt or egg shells, research how to engage and disengage in spirit work safely, research drug associations and herb characteristics for safe ingestion or skin application
