A Sorry Sight (Calico I Body Reaction I +Sousuke +Florian)
He fretted to himself, wondering if anyone (by anyone, he specifically meant Loic) would definitely harp on him for his previously violent behavior. at least Calico didnât seem to be too worried about it. At least he seemed fairly confident in the innkeeper. That was nice to know that someone had his back if things went for the worse.
He stared at the game piece in Calicoâs hand for a bit, wondering exactly why only that single piece was turned over. He never actually played Guess Who, but had a pretty general idea of what it was about. Does that mean they finished playing with only her left? Itâs likely this exact Claire wasnât the person they were doing it for⊠But then what was this supposed to represent?
He wishes he wasnât so shit at puzzles, sure, crafty resourcefulness came in hand when youâre trying to plan a budget, but murders? No, the dead werenât really supposed to be messed with. Ghosts might float around this place pretty soon. What happens if you get haunted by the ghost of a nun? He doesnât quite want to find out.
âI wonder- the rooms all have a correlation ta each other regarding sound, right? It means thereâs a room, uh, the library I think, that could have noise heard from over here. Maybe someone heard over from the library something that happened here? At least, itâd give aâŠâ Quick, use that cool cop terminology from your dramas! â⊠A susp with a clean al that will make âem not be the perp?â What are you even saying, Sousuke.
He quickly does a final scan of the game roomâs floor, even under the shelfs with the games to find anything significant. He sighed, nearly tripping over himself and taking a chair with him. Nice going nerd.
Everything the boys were saying made sense to Florian, and he was fairly pleased and relieved to see the both of them had calmed down significantly. He wasnât the best at soothing fretful souls other than to distract them with amicable chatter, and despite the actual presence of a dead classmate that gamble had seemed to pay off. Thank godâhe wasnât sure he was up to any more hugging or hand holding of potentially sweaty palms, not without needing to excuse himself to the bathroom to wash his hands.  âOui, we seem to have exhausted this particular room andâŠâ The odd terminology Sousuke used caused him to stall, giving the boy a long look. âI do not recognize these, ah, terms you are using? What is a susp and who is his al? Reguardless, reguardlessâŠâ And he waved a hand negligently, standing from the sprawled out position on the chair heâd taken to stretch leisurely.
âAh, do you mean to tell me that sound travels through this facility? Very strange, that no one thought to mention such a strange thing⊠tell me, please, this is very important.â His cheeks colored slightly and he looked away from the other two, studying his feet astutely. âDo⊠does noise travel from the bathing rooms, perhaps? I sing in the shower and I would be horribly embarrassed to know others may have heard such drivel.â This case was⊠odd to say the least. Game boards didnât seem to ever take a stand in murder cases, and if the murderer hadnât known to cover their tracks, what would be the point in this entire go around? Guilt? Mockery? Florian frowned. âWhile you decide where to go next following the clue of sound â something I cannot assist with either, I am afraid, for reasons of deafness as stated before⊠perhaps we should reveal to each other the effects done to us in the previous phase. It would allow us to trust each other more, I do think. I can go first perhaps â my legs ceased to work, you see, or to carry my weight very well. It was quite improper and distressing.â Taking a single step towards the door, Florian gave the other two a meaningful look; wherever they chose to go, he would follow. He cursed himself silently for just being such little help, but the entire situation was phasing him a bit more than heâd anticipated. Unfortunate.
