Please don’t promote a movie thats called “designated ugly fat friend” not only is that name bad enough but the girl they have playing the duff? Is a conventionally attractive skinny girl.
Omg nobody understands this film, IT PROMOTES POSITIVE BODY IMAGE.
The whole point of it is to show that everyone thinks they are the “duff” in their circle of friends because we judge ourselves much harsher than our friends, who incidentally we always think look beautiful. The fact thay you do not have to be either ugly or fat to be a duff is said exactly in the movie and great effort goes into showing why this term is hurtful and how it can be reclaimed. The Duff draws attention to the fact that everyone is beautiful in different ways and everyone is insecure and that we need to stop putting each other and ourselves down
Basically what I am trying to say is can we just reserve judgement please, watch it and realise this is a fantatic film with a great message? AND STOP TRYING TO BOYCOTT IT JUST BECAUSE OF ITS TITLE.
