Seriously your the ones who stopped the parties from just happening anywhere for free. Cmon PLURR. Those drugs are the drugs that do kill you. And there is no argument against this. My city used to be the raver city, but since people elsewhere fucked it up we cant have a rave in the park or atâŚ
While I do agree that the scene is getting fucked up because of drugs, I have to disagree that itâs the main or only reasonâŚ. I know a lot of people who attend events who do drugs while there, and they have complete control of their lives. They go to enhance their experience and to just let go for one night, and thatâs ok to do in the scene. But then there are others of you that go just to get fucked up and talk about how you, âwent to such and such event and were so fucked up on such and suchâ, just because raving has become the âfadâ doesnât mean you have to disrespect the scene and ruin it. I also think that the kids who are in the scene just cause itâs âinâ (aka bros and bro hoes) , and have no respect for other genres other than like 1 genre (aka dubstep), please get out. You come to our eventss, start mosh pits and disrupt the PEACE. Iâm sorry but the first letter in our scenes mantra is PLURR, PEACE, LOVE, UNITY, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY. Our scene is about being peaceful, you know like the hippies, were newage hippies, so please, get out. The kids who wear the shirts such as, âWhereâs Molly?â, âAre You Rolling?â âCan You Help Me Find Molly?â, âRollin With The Homiesâ, shit like that, go home and then BURN your shirts. Yes, I said burn them. Please. Those drug related shirts are worn to so many events and it just draws negative attention to event goers in the medias attention. It portrays our scene in a negative way, saying that our scene is filled with drugs, which isnât completely false, but still, if we want people to respect us as a whole when together, then we need to start respecting our scene a lot more!
THANK YOU.
Letâs be real. I have met DOCTORS and SURGEONS at Electric Daisy Carnival who RESPONSIBLY use these drugs to enhance their experience, and I have met people who donât even take anything and have a great time.
Shit. I attended this past Electric Daisy Carnival SOBER and had an AMAZING TIME.
Drugs have been around for such a long time. MDMA was being used in the 60âs and 70âs in the discotech. Itâs not something new.
Stop going off about how weed is the only okay thing to do.
Because. Like stated above. You will always find these people who give raves (or any kind of scene really) a bad name because theyâre the ones wearing shit like âgot blow?â âWhereâs Molly?â Or something stupid that has to do with drug abuse. Theyâre the ones going too hard for their own good. Theyâre the people who bring a bad name to raving because theyâre the ones who catch the mediaâs attention so thatâs what people think when they hear about raves.
On top of that. Theyâre also buying their drugs from people they donât know. And even if theyâre buying from someone they know, they are not testing their shit.
So youâve got those kids buying fentanyl or meth pills, thinking itâs a pressed ecstasy pill, taking a bunch because theyâre ânot feeling anythingâ and just completely destroying their bodies.
Little bit of a rant as well...
Can we also PLEASE stop blaming the drugs for these deaths? A MAJORITY of the issue is not even DUE TO DRUG INGESTION, but more so IRRESPONSIBLE USE and guess what? Dehydration.
A few deaths that I have read about and have been BAFFLED BY.
Lightning in a Bottle 2017
Girl died because of what happened to her body because it wasnât being taken care of while on drugs. Overheated, got sick, etc., her brain and body couldnât handle everything going on because she wasnât being watched out for by her so-called friends. Her family tried to sue the promoting company. Thanks to the dipshit coroner who said her death was âcausedâ by LSD INGESTION, people actually started to believe more so that you can âoverdoseâ from acid, when later on a doctor clearly stated LSD âoverdoseâ cannot kill you (e.g. the âthumbprintâ initiation that GD family supposedly take a part in)
Electric Daisy Carnival 2016
A 20-year old woman died in the hospital. Family blames the event. Says she âwould never take anythingâ because sheâs a good girl. Toxicology reporter MULTIPLE drugs in her system, including alcohol, MDMA, cocaine, fentanyl and god knows what else. But you know what ACTUALLY KILLED HER? The lack of proper hydration, and her just not taking care of herself, or her not being taken care of by the people she had went with.
And lastly. My FAVORITE example that the scene just has irresponsible people who donât take care of themselves....
Electric Daisy Carnival 2017
Middle aged man who had been to EDC multiple times prior died from heat exhaustion. He was hot, and tired, and he was on LEGAL ECSTASY. Not even ACTUAL MDMA. Homie was in the line for the shuttle. It is HOT. In the middle of JUNE. His wife and family tried to blame a lack of water and a lack of responsibility on Insomniacâs part. They said that free water lines took âupwards of 45 minutesâ to get your bags and canteens filled. They said no one was taking care of Headliners. But what about the GROUP HE WAS WITH? No one said anything about his FRIENDS not giving him water or anyone around them noticing this guy overheating.
I DONâT KNOW ABOUT YOU, but I have BEEN TO EDC. I have been in those water lines. And the longest I have EVER WAITED. Was 10 minutes. TEN. MINUTES.
Ground control walks around wth water in their backpacks to give you if just simply ask.
All of these deaths that get brought to light because of the media.
Were preventable so long as they would just have someone to look out for them.
True friends will party with you, make sure youâre okay, AND take care of you if you go too hard.
Why? Because itâs not going to be as fun if youâre not all together having the time of your lives.
Party responsibly.

Yâall. This tax bill is so bad from so many angles, itâs actually fucking horrifying.
It will make the rich richer.
It favors big business w/ corp tax cuts, but that wonât lead to more employment as Republicans claim.
It discourages homeownership for the middle class which is another tactic to ensure the rich (landlords) keep getting richer.
It makes student loan debt more difficult.
It could make graduate studies only accessible to already very wealthy students.
It repeals state/local tax deductions and effectively penalizes people who live in states where there are higher taxes (and therefore states that tend to have more social safety nets and progressive voters.)
Itâs predicted it will have a chilling effect on nonprofits and charity (which will mean a reduction in services that low income folks routinely depend on.)
It is a giant threat to the health of middle/low income people.
It will increase political corruption and the likelihood of election buying. A provision to repeal the long standing Johnson Amendment could â⌠dramatically increase untraceable political spending and lead to the creation of âsham churchesâ to take advantage of the new avenue for political spending, which â unlike donations to candidates, âsuper PACsâ and party committees â would allow donors to deduct contributions.â
And this is JUST the stuff Iâm aware of from listening to TONS of NPR coverage this month, which I then googled to find sources.
Jesus. This is bad.
Ya knowâŚI feel like we have a responsibility to tell people this stuff ^^^
How many people will just hear a sound bite from Trump saying âthe average American will get a $1200 tax breakâ or some other lie and be like âsounds goodâ and NEVER ACTUALLY PAY ATTENTION until itâs passed and we all end up even poorer than we are now.
Youâre a wanker, Number 9!

This is your last chance to stop ISPs from messing up your Internet.
The FCC just announced its plan to slash net neutrality rules, allowing ISPs like Verizon to block apps, slow websites, and charge fees to control what you see & do online. They vote December 14th. But if Congress gets enough calls, *they* can stop the FCC. [ Click here to be directed to battleforthenet.com where you can input your phone number. Weâll connect you to your congress representative and provide a suggested script of what to say. Your phone number will only be used to make this call. Privacy Policy ]
What is net neutrality? Why does it matter?
Net neutrality is the principle that Internet providers like Comcast & Verizon should not control what we see and do online. In 2015, startups, Internet freedom groups, and 3.7 million commenters won strong net neutrality rules from the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The rules prohibit Internet providers from blocking, throttling, and paid prioritizationâ"fast lanes" for sites that pay, and slow lanes for everyone else.
We are Team Internet. We support net neutrality, freedom of speech.
Nearly everyone who understands and depends on the Internet supports net neutrality, whether theyâre startup founders, activists, gamers, politicians, investors, comedians, YouTube stars, or typical Internet users who just want their Internet to work as advertisedâregardless of their political party. But donât take our word for it. Ask around, or watch some of these videos.
They are Team Cable. They want to end net neutrality, to control & tax the Internet.
Cable companies are famous for high prices and poor service. Several rank as the most hated companies in America. Now, theyâre lobbying the FCC and Congress to end net neutrality. Why? Itâs simple: if they win the power to slow sites down, they can bully any site into paying millions to escape the âslow lane.âThis would amount to a tax on every sector of the American economy. Every site would cost more, since theyâd all have to pay big cable. Worse, it would extinguish the startups and independent voices who canât afford to pay. If we lose net neutrality, the Internet will never be the same.
On July 12, 2017, thousands of us protested to defend Internet freedom.
In just one day, websites large and small participated in one of the biggest online protests ever, reaching tens of millions of people, driving over 2 million comments to the FCC and over 5 million emailsâand over 124,000 callsâto members of Congress.
Now, we must convince Congress to stop the FCC. Can you display an alert?
We need your help. Congress could come out to stop the FCC, but generating calls in every House district requires massive amounts of traffic. You can display a prominent alert on your site that shows the world what the web will look like without net neutralityâand asks your visitors to call. Click here for a demo or grab the code on GitHub. None of these will actually block, slow, or paywall your site. But, they will let your users contact their representatives in Congress without having to leave your page. They appear once per user per day and users can easily click away. Just add this line of code to your siteâs header:

Remember the last time the FCC nearly killed net neutrality?
Tumblr had this nice big banner at the top of your dashboard alerting any active user about the problem. Guess what has changed since then? Verizon, one of the companies gunning for the death of net neutrality owns yahoo who in turn own Tumblr. Spread the word, tell everyone you can: battleforthenet.com tag posts you see about net neutrality with popular tags so the news spreads.

đ¨ The internet needs you đ¨
Youâre up again, Tumblr.Â
Back in 2015 you demanded that the FCC adopt strict net neutrality rules and establish a free and open internet. And you won.Â
That shouldâve been the end of it. But apparently not.
The new head of the FCC wants to undo the net neutrality protections you fought so hard for.
His proposed changes open the door to your web traffic being slowed down, or even blocked altogether. You could be forced to pay extra to use your favorite apps. You could even be prevented from getting news from the sources you trust.
Title II protects consumers and democracy by ensuring all voices can be heard.
You know the drill. Hereâs what to do:
The FCC is taking comments from the public, and dearfcc.org is making it as simple as possible for you to make your voice heard.
Go there now đ dearfcc.org âď¸
Youâll just need to provide a name, an address, and then say a little bit about why rolling back Title II protections is a bad idea. If youâre not quite sure what to write, hereâs something to get you started:
Iâm writing to urge you to keep our Open Internet rules based on Title II in place. Without them, we could lose the internet as we know it.
The proposed changes to FCC rules would allow fast lanes for sites that pay, and force everyone else into slow lanes. Weâve already seen access to streaming services like Netflix, popular games like League of Legends, and communication platforms like FaceTime slowed down, or even blocked. Conditions like this hurt businesses large and small, and penalize the users who patronize them.Â
The changes also open the door to unfair taxes on internet users, and could also make it harder for blogs, nonprofits, artists, and others who canât pay up to have their voices heard.
Please leave the existing net neutrality rules based on Title II in place.
Thank you!
If you need more ammo, feel free to quote these experts from our net neutrality Issue Time. TechCrunch and Battle for the Net also have some good starters.
Everyone is counting on everyone else here. Do your part and tell the FCC to keep a free and open internet under Title II.Â
