Less visits to beer shop plus no birding outings equals searching for another photo opportunity. Problem (partially) solved. All taken with the Note 8.
“Can you do some head shots for me?” Sure, I’ll give it a crack.
With my bird photography, I am attempting to capture motion, stopping quick movements with high shutter speeds. I love the constrast with light painting, capturing motion at very long shutter speeds. This was shot on the Sony A99, 28mm, f/11, ISO 100, 20 second exposure...and a $3 string of coloured LEDs from Bunnings.
I’m not recommending playing with fire I’m just noting that it makes for pretty pictures. 50mm, f/5.6, ISO 100, 4 sec.
It appears that firing a shotgun into a corrugated tin shed creates details that remind me of a Fred Williams painting.
Heading home on the Punt, getting slightly impressionist wth the jpg.
Brunch in Footscray with Hipster Hagrid (sporting new haircut). Our barista was whistling along to ‘Paranoid’ by Black Sabbath as he made the long blacks. So happy to live in Melbourne.
At Newport Lakes, a Swan unfazed by people...
Furry stuff at the Zoo.
In Yarraville, a Coupe DeVille
Another visit to Healesville, another fabulous roo profile.
More moon. The Nikon 1 V3 has the teeny 1″ sensor so the equivalent 35mm field of view using the 200-500 is x 2.7 crop or around 1350mm. Looks pretty crisp. ISO 160
Dr Sketchy’s at 24 Moons in Northcote is life drawing turned up to 11. Last week featured the triumphant return of Agent Cleave and Dandrogyny, two striking and very funny performers. This time, I’d brought along the full frame Sony A99 and the 70-400mm and was able to get some pleasing portraits.
After visiting the NGV to see the MoMA collection, this seems vaguely reminiscent of the Kline painting....Pelicans at the WTP....
Fur and feathers. MIxing it up at Healesville Sanctuary. Nikon D500 and 200-500.
