Texture shots on day 2 hair after removing the satin scarf worn to bed.
I’m not quite sure where my hair sits on the hair typing scale as the texture is coarse throughout but the curl sizes differ in some areas the front having the loosest curls while the back is more tightly coiled.
Day 2 - after sleeping with silk scarf in pineapple, the back - which was still wet!- had been flattened. This is how it looked after gently shaking it down.
Technically, doing the Anthony Dickey method means I would need to repeat yesterday’s process again today but I’m tired 😩 I can see though, that some parts of my hair need hydration so will repeat the process tomorrow at the latest.

After about 4 hours in the chair trying to get this hair straight, I was happy for it to be complete
As you can see, I didn’t get it bone straight probably due to the lower heat settings and this is probably why it didn't last too long. I stepped outside and my hair was high fiving the moon 🌚
04.02.16 I straightened my hair again. The process: wash, condition, steam, air dry, seal with a little bit of whipped Shea butter, apply heat protectant, tension blow dry on low heat and then go over with steam pod on 190 degrees

Water rinsed one side of my week old flat ironed hair and looks like no heat damage (yay) Will see for sure after I wash my hair properly *fingers crossed*

Rhassoul clay mask I did prior to flat ironing my hair. The mask consisted of rhassoul clay, Apple cider vinegar, warm water and extra virgin olive oil. I noticed that a lot of my curls and coils were more pronounced than usual, even after I'd rinsed the mask out and air dried
24.01.16 Getting a little trim, I flat ironed with the steam pod on 180 degrees Celsius, took me forever! (Literally 4 hours +)
