Hey! You can call me Re or Moss, pronouns are they/it. I’m an adult. This is a whump sideblog for @reborrowing, which is a (much more active) giant/tiny blog.
Boilerplate DNI terfs, racists, etc, etc. I’d prefer followers be 18+ but don’t plan to post anything particularly explicit.
I tend to keep to myself, but if you throw asks or tags or etc at me, I'll respond
I like content with female characters, and that definitely includes whump—in any role. It’s my default and won’t be tagged so if you don't want to see lady whump, you probably don't want to follow this blog, sorry!
I mostly like fantasy whump, especially giant/tiny or mermaids. Aliens and vampires are great. I also love unstable dynamics and role shifts.
I'm not really a fan of standard BBU settings, but occasionally I come across something with it I do love. Medical's hit and miss because I'm squeamish about it so when it hits, it hits, but it often just makes me kinda nauseous.
Cult and religion whump are probably the closest to a hard no for me, depending on if it's modeled after common tropes (fine) or reality (nope!)
I've got some character sets I'll post about here over time, writing or drawing, on entirely irregular intervals
masterposts to come with content, maybe, but
Glass Eden - magical creatures trapped and mistreated by a rich eccentric hobbyist
Poe Inktail (any) - a borrower caught in the wrong house
Hecate - a python lamia who grew up in captivity
Hugh - rich eccentric hobbyist
Stolen Light - fairies get pulled into the modern world by a witch who'd like them to face mortality
Iolanthe (she/her) - a fairy mercenary thoroughly out of her element
Silas (he/him) - a fairy lordling, too curious for his own good
Madeleine (she/her) - a witch from a cursed bloodline who wants revenge on the faery that wronged her ancestor. doesn't mind hurting a few extra fae in the process.
Bastien (he/him) - a beastkin mercenary, Iolanthe's work partner
If I Could - vampire slayer gets overconfident, wakes up bloody, turned, and locked in a basement. unwritten sowwy
Harvey Daniels (he/him) - said vampire/slayer.
Melvin Briggs, "Mel" (he/they) - vampire, errand boy for a local coven for the last 50 years or so
Britt Huxley - (she/they) - vampire enthusiast.
[needs a rename lol] (he/him) - vampire slayer who should've charged his phone
Borrower who lives in the house of a killer and finds ways to send tips to a detective working on the case. Eventually, they get caught and now: the killer is stoked to have something so separated from society that they can torment and mold in their ideal way, the detective is wondering where their informant went/why they can't seem to find anything out about them even after the most thorough digging, and the borrower is biding their time and generally going through it.
I am going to create a love/hate triangle so vague and complicated
wanting to see more Black whumpees like me just absolutely getting it like really being shattered to the ground and kicked while they're down then crying their hollow eyes out for my sadistic pleasure vs not wanting to perpetuate the fetishizing glorification of violence towards Black bodies by colonialism&racism 😍
anyways it is very important to be aware of that kind of stuff bc we live in a racist society and its very easy to perpetuate systemic violence even in the little ways (im not perfect myself and like im somewhat more lighter-skinned than my peers even so i dont feel the hit of racism as roughly as some of them do) BUT for what its worth i think its a very worthwhile line to walk. whump is also about the validation of pain & exploring suffering while humanizing your unlucky main character and Black (+ other nonwhite) characters should get that too. make your nonwhite whumpees cry their eyeballs out and feel hollow in face of the world today #myagenda
they also deserve tragic backstories + sweet caretakers + the reclamation of bodily autonomy in recovery + identity issues + drowning in the puts of utter despair + generally have the world time of their lives while an audience sympathizes with them. it shouldnt be just the white boys who get it. hold my hand. let's put our Black characters through such hellish torment that they come out on the other side feeling a tangible gab between who they became vs who they used to be. together.
(still on the same vein, this post by @/creatingblackcharacters is a pretty nice resource to start out i think every now and then i reread it i think it has nice things to keep in mind)

Oh your pet whumpees is sick??? Bring them to the vet!!
If the whump is common place and societal, it’s artificial lights and tile floors, overly cheery nurses and waiting rooms crowded with other terrified whumpees. Clinical discussions in oversanitized rooms fitted with padded restraints to hold whumpee down. Meds that barely work and taste even worse.
If the whump is more underground, expect a back alley treatment, corralling whumpee into an abandoned brick building. Bloodstained concrete floors hastily hosed down, people in cheap doctor’s coats to seem professional. Casually clinical discussions where whumpee is strapped to a metal table with belts and handcuffs. Shady pills that may work, or it may just kill whumpee, who knows.
Synopsis: Owynn, a recently knighted young man, finds himself torn between duty and his growing sympathies for Myrie, a fairy princess who has been captured and tortured by humans.
Content Warnings: tiny whump, fairy whump, female whumpee, human caretaker, male caretaker, captivity, torture, interrogation. Additional warnings are listed at the top of each chapter!
