Smoked glass table with five chairs. Amazing. Poster says it's perfect for a craft table or game table... with dining as an afterthought. Somebody needs to go rescue it and save its life! (Click through the photo to see the ad)
Happy Birthday to maybe the best store ever.
Unhinged in Salt Lake City is turning one, and there is a party!
Friday October 12, which is the same night as the Sugarhouse Art Walk so you basically have no excuse not to make an evening of it. Details can be found on the Unhinged Facebook page (which I feel like you should "like" so that you can stay in the know about all of the goings on with the shop) but basically, come check out the space, see new offerings upstairs in the shops in The Platform, and enjoy yourselves. Also, bring your friends!
I recently lost my sunglasses for more than a week. I was becoming distraught, as they were not only my beloved Kate Spade sunnies, but I'm blind as a bat and they are prescription. Don't worry, I found them. Right where I had set them in plain sight. I mean, in plain sight when you're not distracted by all of the amazingness happening on the shelves around them.
The first time I ever had a physical reaction (er… Pyrexgasm?) Was when I found my first Snowflake Black piece (the large casserole here). I was in a thrift store and my heart honestly stopped when I laid eyes on it. I held it like it was a baby all through the store. They still make me that happy inside.
Today I made picnic salads and served them in a Friendship Pattern divided vegetable dish. This is not the correct lid, however! This lid goes with the big oblong casserole... The divided dish has a white lid with the pattern on it. I just happen to have three divided dishes and only 2 correct lids, so the big casserole said it was okay if I borrowed its lid.
It's a well known fact that Minigiraffes are the ultimate sign of opulence. These are about 16 inches tall and hardly eat anything. Pretty much, you need them.
How do you bake a perfectly cylindrical loaf of bread? In a perfectly cylindrical Pyrex Bake-a-round, obviously!
Sometimes you need an ice bucket. Sometimes you need fancy gold things. How rad is it when you can have both at once?

Vintage Sadness. I rescued this little guy for 50 cents because he was abused in his previous life. He still has a lot of love to give and a lot of use, he’s just not as good looking as be once was. This is why you should never put your vintage Pyrex in the dishwasher.
This is where my Pyrex is living. I mean, here plus in another cupboard and in a bajillion boxes in my basement. But here is where it looks cute and makes my heart smile.
Check out this cool remodel I found on Apartment Therapy. They kept their avocado green appliances! Look how well everything works together. This made my heart smile huge!
I use my vintage Pyrex pieces every single day. Collecting amazing stuff is a lot more fun when it does more than just take up space.
You probably need this to hold dips and sauces. Or sundae toppings. (Taken with Instagram)
Nobody ever used this overnight bag, it still has the cardboard inside! (Taken with Instagram)
