God I need to have some adrenaline course through my veins. A risky hookup, random kiss in the club, a good event job, a proper incident JUST SOMETHING DAMN IT.
Nearly got hit by a car the other day and that felt good. Ice skating was good too, gonna go do that again.
Seriously a very select few humans are able to thrive on night shifts, and I am NOT one of them.
The brain fog is crazy, by friends can attest to it, and the mood changes.
Thankfully I got introduced to hockey so I have that to watch if I have time at work.
I wouldnt mind doing like a 8pm to 4am shift, but a 11pm to 7am destroys you especially when your commute is a minimum 45min.
And people will be like "oh leave the job it's not worth it you will find something better" blah blah blah no I fuckin won't. There are 0 fuckin jobs out there and a bajillion people looking for them. It's a miracle I got this in the first place.
Anyways my point is, don't do night shifts unless it's the only option you have, or you are wired differently.
At my ripe old age, having experienced eons go by, if some young traveller comes upon me and asks me for my wisdom, I'll say:
"Don't pick up a night shift job"
how is it even fun to only support good sports teams? there is nothing more satisfying than watching your garbage team rise from the ashes and win once every 12 weeks. The adrenaline rush of watching your team barely eek out a win brings much more utility when they’ve lost 7 straight games than when they consistently remember how to sport.
