Diane knew she was being rude, but she really did need that coffee if she wanted to make that deadline and she always made deadlines. She did not need pancakes and syrup or even delicious apple pie. Just a cup of Joe would get her through. 

gave the same smile as she sipped at her coffee. “That’s all for now Flora,” She said as she opened up her laptop, placing two sugars and a splash of milk in her drink before muttering rhectorically, “Unless of course you can write PSD codes for me in five minutes.”

"What codes?" she asked, her brow furrowed in confusion. "I have no idea what you're talking about. I have enough troubles in my computer class."

"Just that coffee. Ten minutes ago. The holidays have set me way back and I have a deadline," Diane smiled sweetly with a hint of passive aggression.

Giving a small nod, Flora walked away. She didn't like when customers were passive aggressive with her. It made her uncomfortable. But the customer's actions were always allowed. What wasn't allowed, was talking back to the customer.

She waited for the coffee to brew, and when it was finished, she brought it out to the woman, with sugar and milk. Placing the tray on the table, she gave the woman a small smile. "If you need anything else, my name is Flora."

"Good morning! What can I get for you today?"

"A cup of strong coffee. Preferably very quickly please."

"Anything else?" she asked, wondering if this woman wanted something for breakfast.

Danny nodded. “Okay, I’ll see you then.” A few bites of his food. “Sweater weather, and pumpkins. It’s a good time.”

Flora nodded, and smiled awkwardly before going back to work.

Flora made her way down to where the Halloween themed carnival was set up. She didn't want to buy her tickets yet, without Danny being there. She didn't have to wait long though. She saw Danny walking towards the entrance. Excited, Flora skipped over to him. "Hey!"

"Oh, gotcha." Danny nodded. Then he responded with a shrug. "Yeah, sure! I’ll go with you. I don’t have to dress up or anything do I?"

Flora shook her head, "No. Just make sure you've got something warm. It's going to be at night." She was glad Danny had said yes.

Head Canon

Flora wears a small ring that features a heart. It was a gift from her parents on her twelfth birthday. She refuses to take it off, except when showering, or sleeping.

Danny had stopped by the diner to grab an order of fries. He was playing around with his phone as he waited for his food when he heard someone come over. “Hey! I didn’t know you were working, what’s up?”

"Last minute shift," she said as she sat down across from him. "There's a haunted carnival coming to town. It's got a horror maze, and a haunted house and all this really cool stuff. I wanted to know if you'd like to go? My parents won't go with me, and said I can't go alone." She realized she was rambling, a side effect of her excitement.
