Would the Prime Assets be able to grill? Coyle: Yes. Not because I think he was taught, but I think the expectations of toxic masculinity meant that he learnt how to grill somewhere along the line.

Franco: No. Paternal neglect, he does not know how to grill. Also babies shouldn’t handle grills. Very unsafe.

Mother Gooseberry: Yes. Barbecues are a ‘family’ event and she can do a segment on her TV show about how the burnt parts of the meat can get stuck between the teeth.

Kress Twins: No. They grew up rich and while I do think they can cook, I don’t think they ever gained an interest in grilling.

Liliya: Yes. Skewer arm would work well for grilling.

If I was to make a character in The Outlast Trials, I would make an average cleaner/mechanic who works in the Sinyala facility who keeps maintenance on the various ‘trial’ devices. They keep to themself and they think everyone else are freaks. They spend every waking moment believing they are doing something wrong but they never err in their job. They need the money. They’d think to themself every day about getting earplugs to drown out the screams from the reagents but they never do because they feel like it’s their punishment for being complicit. They’d never catch the attention of anyone, not the scientists or the prime assets or the reagents, but they’d suffer and that’s awesome

I love that both the Kagemori and the Tadera clans are offshots from Higashi village, yet one of them is a big family with a huge mansion, serious capital (several warehouses, stocks in weapons or even several companies, I am unsure on the specifics), ties to organized crime, a private army and several philantropic projects (ie a bunch of orphanages to feed the private army psssh).

Meanwhile the Tadera clan is a guy in flipflops, who has to room it with his coworker because his extradimensional garden shed is hostile to human life, his deadbeat missing weeb dad, and a literal child.

Ryland ‘the beanbag is lava!!’ Grace was absolutely around for the loomband craze. He’s telling his students to stop doing those 3AM challenges because they keep falling asleep in his class. He’s putting on low-quality homemade internet videos about the electromagnetic spectrum. He surprises his class with an science themed escape-room building assignment when that escape room craze was going around

I think Rocky, the engineer who weaved 5 km of chain, would be amazing at braiding. Grace makes a joke about how when he woke up from his coma his hair had grown so long that he could braid it. Rocky asks what that word means.

Soon Rocky’s the one showing off his perfect xenonite braid patterns to Grace, who’s still clumsily trying to weave his still-too-short hair.

I bet Rocky ends up unintentionally making a fashion trend for celebratory clothing when he goes back to Erid

So on Erid, Grace is constantly listening to Eridian, teaching in Eridian and so on, I think at one point he’d be eating a me-burger realise that sometimes he thinks in Eridian too.

It gets so frequent that he forgets that his vocal chords can’t physically speak the language and makes the most ungodly wheezing noise in front of Rocky, who makes fun of him for weeks
