I have finally begun to regain consciousness and mild physical control over my body. I am still mostly relying on being carried around by Mistress which, while a lovely and most heavenly feeling, has absolutely thrown my exercise routine into disarray. Mistress says that I shouldn't be moving on my own for a while anyway, but I'd like to be able to do something.
On a different note, I have given my thanks to Marianna for keeping my logs up to date, even if the way she has written them is highly unprofessional. This is still a researcher journal, even if it is easily publicly acceptable. But I thanked her regardless. She had asked me for some rather... physical affection in order to thank her but I declined due to not reaching such levels of comfortability. I did, however, give here a gentle kiss upon her lips. She seemed rather joyous about that as she then spent the next 12 minutes (I timed it) running around and jumping in the air. I will admit, she is very adorable and pretty when doing so. She is so very sweet and kind to me.
As for my research, it seems I will have to wait until the implant is no longer impairing me in order to continue any kind of interview or in person interaction. I will attempt to see what I can do from my bed in the mean time. Research waits for no one.

Well, I have completed my first day as a floret now I suppose. It feels rather strange and wonderful to write that still, but Mistress gave me a dose of Class-D xenodrugs before I began writing to ensure all of my work is proper and accurate. It feels surprisingly refreshing to not have to think of what words I'll have to write next.
Today was wonderful, if a bit intense. Mistress decided to invite several friends and their florets so we can all play with each other. I had originally planned to sit back further from the others until Mistress reminded that I'm a floret now too and should play with them. I knew that it was because I hadn't really interacted at all with other florets other than Marianna who I very much do adore.
After the celebration, Mistress and I discussed truthfully what to do with me now. I told her that I agree to have the Haustoric Implant put in me but that I wish to be able to continue my research. She agreed that it would prove to be beneficial and that perhaps it would help other independents and feralists to accept this way of life and reduce the risk of Terrans hurting themselves. She was able to set up an appointment for tomorrow, so after today I shall truly no longer ever be an independent. It is all very exciting.
After we finished our discussion, she gave me a cup of tea laced with Class-A and Class-D xenodrugs and pulled me in next to her core, making me explain just how it felt. It was a most heavenly experience, though I had not realized till now just how potent the combination of Class-A's and biorhythms can be.
I am now sitting here in bed with Mistress and Marianna. They are enjoying some very fun looking times together that I may join in soon. But first, I shall conclude with my wellness check.

I no longer have to deal with anyone from my ship calling me a freak or a cybitch, so that's definitely an improvement. I truly am cared for.
It is still feels very odd though. After the recording, I felt Ms. Verdi consol me. She told me that it was alright. That eventually even the most strong-willed can falter and fall. I could only sob silently. She was so very gentle and kind with me, and Marianna even came out to hug me a bunch and they were to lovely. And yet my mind still tried to argue with me on this feeling. Of feeling good. Of feeling protected and safe. Of being, perhaps, loved.
Ms. Verdi has decided that tonight we will celebrate my decision to stay. Cook some fancy meal, all eat together, have a bath, everything. Then, she will be giving me a gift. Some kind of clothing for me to always wear so I can remember I'm loved and cared for. I wonder what it could be.
She also said we'll discuss if I wish to continue my research in the morning and about getting me a Haustoric Implant. I am definitely leaning towards continuing my work, as there is so much to learn, especially now with Ms. V- Mistress by my side.

Well, we first evaluate the risks that the sophonts are in. We check for any dangers they can put themselves in and do our best to remove that risk as soon as possible. We then take the sophonts with us. For them to come willingly is preferable, but as you have seen, there are many instances where we have to use xenodrugs to ensure their safety.
"I see. What about once you have captured them? Is there anything that is normally done to keep them in check then? I can't imagine most are happy after being knocked out cold and waking up somewhere strange."
After they have had a chance to acclimate to their new environment, we simply take care of them with a combination of xenodrugs, our biorhythms, and all the love and affection we can give~
"This is very fascina- Wait, I'm sorry, I don't think I've heard that term before. You said biorhythms?"
Why yes! All Affini produce biorhythms that we follow. I have also heard that they are rather hypnotic to sophonts, particularly to Terrans. It helps in the domestication process and allows our darling Florets know we are always with them~

This is most certainly one of the most complex scenarios I have ever encountered. I was given a chance to conduct an interview today with an Affini "vet" and was informed more on the process of domestication. It appears that terrans are rather unique in their domestication process due to the high chance of volatility and chance of self endangerment. Those who are determined to be of risk to others or themselves are domesticated forcefully through a combination of kindness and lo- emotional manipulation and "xenodrugs" (the colloquial name for the naturally produced toxins of the Affini) that subdues them until they are adopted. However, while this is the case for most terrans, there are those who are independent and do not wish to be made pets. It seems though that this does not last, and most who originally wish to be independent slowly succumb to the wish to be a floret. Would it really be so bad to be a good flor-
Something I have learned that is the case with all florets is that once they are domesticated, they are installed with some kind of chip at the base of the back of their neck (maybe some form of nanotech?) called a "Haustoric Implant." This is the primary tool of the Affini, and one they seem rather proud of. It is able to infect the nervous system and allows for the use of "xenodrug" at all times, controlled by the floret's Affini. That would explain the sudden bouts of confusion and bliss I have seen florets experience even without being touched.
Speaking of these toxins, I recall that perhaps took my experiments too far today. I had agreed to be injected with this "xenodrug" called a "Class-A" and was... beside myself. The sensation of it reverberates within my mind still, though I cannot remember most of it. It was the fault of Marianna due to their constant asking and begging for me to "just give it a try, I promise you'll feel all warm and cute and good just like me."
