Having grown up around extremely smart people, it always tickles me when I read people describe themselves as former gifted kids like mmmmmm are you sure? Were you gifted or did someone just tell you "you read good" when you were 10 and you decided to make that your whole identity and now you can't let it go cuz you have nothing else going for you?

It's bizarre to think of how much pmdd affects who I feel like I am as a person. I was perfectly happy and content a couple of days ago and now I simply cannot hold onto any shred of happiness for more than a few moments before the gloom clouds cover me again. This mood will probably last me 1-3 weeks until my next period and then the sun can finally break through the clouds once more only for me to have to repeat this process all over again next month.
