Ok but what if au where cas and dean meet in an ac/dc concert and dean is there because he is a fan and cas is there because of charlie or something. Okay so my only issue with this is that like, it would take ages to open Dean up unless he is a loose slut, sO my theory is this:

as the day wears on, cas’ becomes even more distant and depressed. whenever dean asked him what’s wrong, cas says “nothing” or “i’m fine,” until the evening rolls around and dean can’t take it anymore.

“What’s the matter with you?” he demands.

and cas sighs in that heavy way he does, and says haltingly, “You dreamed about your wedding. You called it perfect.”

“Yeah?” dean prompts.

“I wasn’t there.”

“Of course you were,” dean says. “Who do you think I married?”

Adapting to the routines of humanity hasn’t been kind to him. “It’s —” “It’s…” Sam cranes his neck and squints at the monitor. “The Pleiades. Probably the most recognizable cluster there is.” “Why do you even know that? No, seriously, how does that shit affect our lives at all?” “Shut the hell up, Dean.” “Sandalphon.” Cas stares at the screen, eyes soft, lashes dipping with what can only be pain. He reaches out to touch — something Sam’s yelled at him for doing countless times — and gently places his fingertips upon it, treating it like the most precious gift he’s ever received. And it might be. The Winchesters have never been much for gift-giving, which is a shitty life to introduce Cas into. Normal people get gifts all the time. The last thing Dean gave him was a stick of gum. God dammit.

Dean rolls out of bed and pads over, resting an arm carelessly over the back of Cas’s shoulders. “Say again?”

“Sandalphon, my old general,” Cas says, tilting his head. “This is… She was a brilliant tactician. She led the first battalion against Lucifer during the First War.” Sam exhales softly. “What happened?” “She… decided that Lucifer’s way was right. She Fell.” An awkward silence stretches between them, a small eternity passing before Sam clicks on the next picture. Cas expels a breath like it physically hurts him to hold it in. “Chazaquiel.” They go through maybe forty pictures of open clusters, which Dean still really doesn’t understand, Cas naming each of them as a brother or sister — “Penemue, Amaros, Arkas, Kochab…” — before they come to an image that is, admittedly, breathtaking. Dean lets out a low whistle and nudges Cas’s neck with his arm, fingers brushing the worn fabric of Dean’s old ACDC shirt, a bit too big over Cas’s thin shoulders. “That one fucking rocks,” he says, and nudges Cas again. “Who’s that?“  Cas sucks in a shuddering breath and leans to rest his head on Dean’s stomach, fingers reaching out once more for the monitor. “Me.”

Castiel watched his friend come to after his surgery.

The dentist had filled him in on everything that would need to be done to keep Dean pain-free and unhurt. A baggy of gauze was tucked into Castiel’s coat pocket as he put his phone away.

Dean’s head lolled to the side as his eyes blinked open slowly. Hazy green roamed listlessly as one of Dean’s hands lifted to his face.

Castiel lunged, catching the probing fingers before Dean could yank the gauze in his mouth free.

“Ugh. Why’s there fuzz in my mouth?” Dean’s words were slurred and distorted slightly. “Feels like I swallowed the Stay Puft marshmallow man.”

“You had your wisdom teeth taken out, Dean.”

Dean’s head lifted at the sound of Castiel’s voice. His eyes abruptly went wide and his hands lifted, fingers catching in the material of Castiel’s lapels.

Castiel frowned.

“What’s wrong? Does it hurt?”

“It’s like ‘m looking at the sun,” Dean muttered. “Your eyes are so pretty.”

Heat crept up Castiel’s neck. 

“Dean-”

“You’re beautiful. So, so beautiful. Your voice is very nice.”

Oh, good Lord. Castiel helped Dean stand and fetched his jacket, helping the man’s arms through his sleeves. It was a difficult task as Dean seemed keen on keeping Castiel in his sights.

Dean was a little wobbly as they walked outside. He leaned on Castiel, hands scrabbling at his wrists and arms as though searching for something.

“Dean, what’s the matter?”

“Wanna hold your hand-” Dean paused, looking suddenly forlorn. “I don’t know your name. How can I love you and not know your name?”

Castiel jerked to a stop, heart stuttering inside his chest. Love? Dean loved him?

“You don’t mean that, Dean. And you know my name. We live together. I’m Castiel.”

Dean’s eyes brightened and he pulled Castiel closer by his arms.

“Castiel. Cas. Yeah. Holy shit. We live together? Aw, man. I’m livin’ the life. How’d I get so lucky?” Dean blinked again, brain catching up slowly with the remainders of the drugs. “What d’you mean, I don’t mean it? Love you, Cas.”

“What, Dean, no-”

Dean leaned forward, fingers clutching earnestly at Castiel’s hands. 

“I know you. You’re one of the best things ever. You’re good to me. You help me feel like ‘m worth something. You’re smart and sweet and wonderful and amazing and awesome…You’re so awesome, Cas. I love you. Like, a lot. I’d show you but I can’t make my arms go big enough.” Dean spread his arms wide with a mournful look before looking even more depressed. “Unless…Unless you don’t love me back. That’s okay, then. ‘Cause I know I ain’t the best guy or anything and sometimes I say stupid stuff and I’m not good like you are-”

Castiel’s chest constricted before swelling three times its size. He flung his arms around Dean and stifled a choking noise into the man’s shoulder. Dean loved him. Dean. Loved. Him. Dean loved him.

“Cas, you okay? I didn’t make you feel weird or mad, did I?”

Castiel pulled back and tentatively twined his fingers between Dean’s. The man’s mouth split in a stuffed-cheek smile that had Castiel laughing at the absurdity of it all. Then Dean was leaning forward and pressing his lips to Castiel’s off-center.

“I love you, too, Dean.” Castiel murmured as he pulled back.

The AU where Sam wants to get a puppy for he and Jess for Christmas. Jess can’t help pick it out as a Christmas surprise, but Jess is a lot like Dean, so Sam drags Dean along to help pick out the dog.

It turns into more than one trip because Dean won’t agree on any of them. Some are too wrinkly and some are too drooly.

Each time, they’re helped by a nice woman named Anna. Since Sam told her that it was a gift for his fiancé, she had spent much of the time telling them about her own husband, Balthazar, and their pets.

The next time they go in, it isn’t Anna helping them but Castiel. Turns out that he’s Anna’s brother, fresh out of the local master’s program for Philosophy and complete with nonexistent people skills.

Dean takes to his awkwardness immediately. That time in the shelter, Dean agrees on a chocolate lab with a shaggy, shiny coat. Dean says that it will remind Jess of Sam. Sam isn’t so sure.

Castiel makes all the arrangements and helps them collect all of the necessary supplies. He shares his love for guinea pigs. He shares his love for burgers. Dean finds the guy adorable.

Dean almost doesn’t want to leave. Sam has to drag him out, unlike the other times.

Christmas comes and goes. Jess loves the addition to the family. She tells the brothers that the dog reminds her of Sam and Dean grins knowingly.

The dog needs to be trained though and Dean’s firefighter schedule gives him the advantage for getting to the two-week class sessions.

Sam is surprised at how little he has to beg. He realizes later that it’s because Cas’ name is on the form as class assistant.

Years later when Dean and Cas get married, Jess stands with her glass and her rounded belly. She smiles, “They went to the shelter to get a stray. Instead they got two.”

(1/2) Cas just loves getting off. Every since he discovered it as a human, he'll leap at every chance to be alone in the bunker. He especially loves grinding, though. Against pillows, furniture, bunched up blankets, it doesn't matter. He does favor Dean's pillows, though. He loves the way he can just bury his face and breathe in the musky smell of Dean as he ruts helplessly against the pillow until he's trembling and shaking and crying out as he comes.
