Just an update:

I haven't written in a while but I've been in my head about a lot of things so hopefully I can post on here more. Thank you to whoever reads this blog. Even if it's just one person I'm glad my words are out in the world in some form and not just kept to myself.

My mother screamed at my father tonight,

I could hear it from the second floor.

All of a sudden I was eight again,

Listening with my ear pressed against the door.

I was a kid I sitting at the top of the staircase,

Heart dropping down to my core,

Wishing my mom would scream less

And that my dad could be more.

September approaching…I feel I owe myself a brief respite of leisure and no rushing around. I can't face the dead reality. I want rainy days, lanterns and a hundred moons twining in dark leaves, music spilling out and echoing yet inside my head.

I miss the version of us that stayed up talking about nothing and everything. When your name on my screen felt like home.

I'll start all over again,

Hope this time it'll work out

And my new life can finally begin.
