How would the Night Raven College faculty characters (And Lilia) react to Yuu/reader accidentally calling them father?
are the characters:
•Dire Crowelly
•Divus Crewell
•Mozus Trein
•Ashton Vargas
•Sam
•Lilia Vanrouge
(This was my first POV so it might be a little bad and out of character....>-<)
Dire was once again pestering the freshman with more homework that definitely should have been his.
— So, could you see if you can find a butter dish with a cherub on the lid? It's a valuable artifact of my grandmother's that I haven't found in 45 years; it must be in some attic or basement at the school. Since I'm so generous, if you see something you're interested in there, you can take it.
Yuu sigh at the demands and just want a break from these responsibilities:
— Okay, I'll take a look after class, Dad.
Dire pauses and blinks slowly. Does the freshman see you as a father? He shakes his head quickly with a small smile, but of course he would. Being such a generous and kind person, his students would immediately see him as a father figure.
— Excellent, I'm glad I can always count on you. You can go now... my son.
Divus was giving you particular guidance in potions class due to your complete ignorance of potions. It wasn't anything like the chemistry classes you had at your otherworldly school, so it took many classes until you reached the basic level of functional education there. Even stumbling a lot in the lessons, you were constantly progressing.
— Now mix everything until it becomes a homogeneous solution, add sodium chloride, and let it sit for 48 hours. Then the solution for premature hair loss will be ready.
Divus watches the solution turn from cherry red to grape purple to cobalt blue, signifying the perfect completion of the potion."Very good, Yuu, you did a great job. Next class we can move on to 8th grade potions.
Yuu smile, looking expectantly at the solution, happy to finally be able to make a potion without anything exploding.
— Thank you so much for your attention, Dad.
Divus hunches his shoulders and widens his eyes slightly. This had never happened in his years of teaching, and he didn't even know what he was feeling. But looking at the student handling the potion with admiration, he gave a slight smile.
— It's no trouble to help a youngling.
Mozus Trein had stopped you at the end of class to give you some observations on the history paper you'd turned in.
— I suggest changing the points you made and presenting the other points in more detail. I only extended your deadline because you're not familiar with the history of this world.
— I understand. I'll do that, and I'll give it to you tomorrow, Dad.
Mozus had opened his mouth to say something else but stopped when he heard the word "father," staring at you without any change in his serious expression. A few minutes of uncomfortable silence only ended when he said with a slightly raised eyebrow:
— Do you see me as some kind of father figure, student?
Yuu were reflecting while listening to Vargas give loud encouragement to the students when a towel is thrown in your face.
— You can go shower, freshman. You're doing great. If you can do 5 sets of these exercises in 6 months, you'll be able to boast an athletic physique.
You wipe the sweat from your forehead with the towel, smiling at being able to do the exercises.
— Thanks, Dad—I mean, coach.
Vargas gives an unwavering smile.
The students around him are quite confused when he shouts this.
Sam was taking the new cans of tuna out of stock to restock the shelves when you walked into the store.
— Little devil! You're right on time. The tuna stock that Grim likes has arrived. If you buy more than 10 cans, you get one free.
— Good afternoon! I can't buy it right now, but thanks for the offer, Dad!
Sam stops putting the can back on the shelf and turns abruptly with a questioning look.
— Am I so old that people call me Dad?! I'm only 25, practically a teenager.
Yuu was walking down the hallways, without any planned route, until someone suddenly appeared upside down in front of him. It was Lilia, with her hands by her side.
Yuu was startled by Lilia's sudden appearance and ended up falling backward, landing on his butt. Lilia started laughing, amused by Yuu's reaction. Yuu put his hand on his backside, rubbing it, frowning, looking at Lilia, who was still upside down, and said in an annoyed tone:
—Ouch, Dad! Don't scare me like that!
Yuu closed his eyes while rubbing the sore area. Lilia's eyes widened slightly upon hearing his words. Looking at Yuu, she blinked slowly, then her lips stretched into an almost paternal smile. Lilia descended from the ceiling, landing on her feet in front of Yuu, stretched out her arm, and said:
— I'll try to take it easy, kid.
When Lilia takes Yuu's hand, she pulls him/her up, lifting him/her off the ground. Lilia puts her arm around Yuu's shoulder and starts walking beside him/her, saying:
— Come on, let's go to the cafeteria. I'll make it up to you by giving you a treat.
Lilia says smiling, his heart warming, happy to be a familiar figure to Yuu.
