— Hold On is my main story about a bonded pair in the BBU universe and the struggles they face together (and sometimes on their own). It deals with messy communication and how to build healthy relationships with partners and friends, all while within the confines of a system that treats them as less than human. Sunshine House is a branch-off with the caretakers from Hold On and dives into their past, and Shadow of Stars is a vampire AU of the story.

Whumper saying they have a surprise for Whumpee in another room. They get there, and Whumpee doesn’t know whether to scream or collapse. In the room is an injured Caretaker, bound and gagged.

now, make them more agreeable after the whump. make it so conflicting for their loved ones that, while they never wanted something so terrible to happen to someone they love, this whumpee is… better, to them
The whumper abruptly and stealthily slipping their hand down the front of their pants in the middle of a crowded place. The whumpee freezes up, desperately trying to conceal any reaction to this while hoping that no one will notice what's going on as they have no idea how the whumper will react to that.
whumpee can't breathe. they can't breathe, can't move, can't hardly think. whumper's still talking like nothing is happening, their voice casual and unaffected even as their hand is groping at the front of whumpee's groin. they're strong fingers, massaging and just grabbing, making small but insistent, hard movements.
the first thing that whumpee can manage to force their body to do is to shuffle that much closer to whumper. it's an instinct, one that they can't explain, except that they want to hide this. the closer that they are to whumper, the less likely it'll be that anyone will see. and they can't- no one can see.
as it keeps going, whumpee gets closer and closer to whumper, until they're clinging to the person assaulting them, lips pressed hard together to stifle fast breathing or building sobs. and all around them, the crowd doesn't notice. (if anyone does, for a quick moment, they glance away immediately, pretending that they didn't see. after all, what did they see but someone clinging to the person pleasuring them in public, not pushing them away, not even making a sound?)
