MY problem is that since humans use base 10, that means we like loop around on the numbers after 9, which I think should mean it's called base 9 really, but it's not, for some reason. So anyway since we use 10 fingers to count and we count in base 10 people are like then octopi would probably use base 8, because 8 tentacles (eightacles, more like) but like what if they count 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10, ok? and not 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 10? so base 9 basically? Because we don't know if they loop ON the last tentacle or AFTER it so WE CAN'T KNOW if they use base 8 or base 9 ok??? IN PROJECT HAIL MARY ERIDIANS USE BASE 6, WHICH MEANS THEY COUNT 1 2 3 4 5 10, OK?? BECAUSE 5 ARMS , WHY DO HUMAN S COUNT IN BASE 10 AND NOT BASE 11
