On September 24th, 1959, Roger was accepted into Truro Cathedral Choir x It meant "services on a Sunday and practice and evensong most days of the week", but in return "the Cathedral Dean and Chapter paid their fees to the Cathedral School: one of two boy’s private schools in the Truro vicinity." Roger went to school on a choir scholarship.
