okay okay okay, when i first finished the raven king, my initial reaction to the lack of a certain precious ghost-boy in the latter half of the book was mostly just intense disappointment, soul-crushing grief, and a promise of lifelong misery. i mean, WHY did the ot5 never think about him? about his welfare? why wasn't he there with them at the end? why wasn't he mentioned at all in the epilogue? why why why. but then i re-read chapter 65, and i found this: "[Noah] quietly slid from time." and i wondered if this implied that czerny is GONE. gone as in he was never there, never at monmouth, never thrown out the window by ronan lynch, never kissed blue sargent, was never REMEMBERED - just murdered. in other words, because he slides from time, the gangsey cease to remember him and it's like he was never there - like he died-died that day in the forest. while it is a possible explanation for the injustice that is the utter lack of noah czerny in trk, it has made me a much sadder human being and i mean. i didn't sign up for this. ha ha kill me
