I believe they are “endangered” because they are so highly wanted or because they evolve a lot in these regions

Well, when I say "Eevee," I mean its evolution line as well; their endangerment, in fact, is mostly due to lack of habitat - the only place they can be found in Unova anymore is an area in Castelia City that was conserved specifically for pokemon who made their home in the area around the city before it was as developed as it is today. Since Eevee are so popular, though, there's been a lot of interest in raising the population here in the past few years, which is really nice to see!

A number of five-fingered pokemon have been known to be able to learn some hand signs from trainers who know a sign language, whether through exposure or being taught. The most successful experiment of this kind was an Oranguru who learned more than a thousand signs in a modified version of Unovan Sign Language.

It's widely debated in certain scientific circles whether or not revived fossil pokemon looked different when they lived in the distant past, given the tendency of fossil pokemon to be revived as rock types.

While Goomy and Sligoo are far better at avoiding damage than dishing it out, aided by their slimy skin which attacks slide right off of, when it evolves into Goodra it can deliver some severe punishment as well with its powerful retractable horns.

Despite its many similarities in both biology and temperament to many dragon type pokemon, Tyranitar is not itself a Dragon type pokemon, but rock and dark.

While female Unfezant aren't as showy as their male counterparts, they are consistently more skilled fliers.

Pokemon with the ability pickup are prone to bring "found" items to their trainer that in fact belong to someone else. As a result, pokemon with this ability aren't typically used in a professional capacity to avoid legal trouble.

Many people think it a disadvantage that Servine loses its hands when it evolves into Serperior, but in fact it uses its vines more adeptly even as a Snivy, so it's not really much disadvantage at all.

Audino are Unova's most recommended emotional support pokemon due to their ability to sense emotions. For similar reasons, other common recommendations include Espeon, Sylveon, and the Lillipup line.

Some pokemon change types when they mega evolve. Of these, more known mega pokemon change to dragon types than any other type, at three total - Mega Charizard X, Mega Ampharos, and Mega Sceptile.

All of Eevee's evolutions are surprisingly impressive hunters. While they did evolve this way naturally, these traits were also encouraged by humans when they began to use these pokemon as hunting partners.

If you plan on adopting a Trapinch, make sure you are either prepared to train them very well or have a spot you're okay with it digging plenty of holes in - Trapinch dig pits that they wait in to catch prey, and no matter how well fed you keep them, they will leave unsightly holes in your front yard if you leave them unsupervised.
