It’s been a while since I’ve done a post because of the fact that I’ve coloured my hair red. Because of this, I have to use colour shampoo and I can’t let my hair stay wet for too long otherwise everything gets stained red. The joys of trying to be fashionable, right? So I’ve saved my reviews up so I can do a more substantial post. I plan to start posting weekly instead of every time I use a product anyway.

First up, the so white bath bomb. This bath bomb is pure delight. It has a very lovely spiced apple fragrance to it and it’s very relaxing. It turns the bath a pretty shade of pink and it’s sparkly. What’s not to love. Something that stood out to me with this bath bomb is that it took forever to fizz. I was in the bath for at least half an hour before I realised it was still fizzing away - and I begrudged getting out of the bath before it was done. So if you don’t want a long bath, it might be worth cutting this one in half or quarters so you don’t waste it. There’s not much else to say about this product because i have no complaints. It was just pure bliss. Disappointed it’s out of season now as I would have stocked up on this product had I have known I liked it.

Snow fairy shower gel is one of my favourite shower gels that lush produce. It’s the perfect consistency to use straight away but it’s also a great product to use with an exfoliating glove. It lathers up really nicely and it’s not too thick that it just slides off your body. I think the main factor in why I love this product however is the smell. It just smells so sweet, like candy floss dreams. I absolutely love this product, and may have overstocked on it a little. This is my second go to shower gel, after flying fox.

Unicorn horn bubble bar has a very strong lavender smell. This isn’t something I hate - I actually adore the smell. However, if you’re going to use this product, I would recommend you either have a shallow bath or make sure you’re wide awake. I almost lost my phone into the abyss because the fragrance made me so sleepy. The actual bar creates masses of bubbles which is fantastic as I always worry that they’re not going to. It turns the bath a nice pinkishy colour but the main attraction of this bath is the sparkly bubbles.

I shall be reviewing the light pink colour supplement in the next few days. This is a product I've used religiously for about a year now and have fond thoughts that I'd like to share. Watch this space.

Rose jam has to be one of the most delicious smells lush has ever created. The bubbleroon and the shower gel are remarkable, they smell like perfumed jam sandwiches, a smell which takes me back to my childhood. Im not insinuating that I ate rose jam sandwiches, more like strawberry jam, but there is something very familiar in the scent. I've always felt that rose scented things can be very dated, but this smell is a timeless, relaxing one which I'd happily use every day. The smell lingered on me for the rest of the evening and the following day, so definitely worth trying! I was rather disappointed with the Prince Charming shower gel. It's not often that I say such a negative thing about something I hit from lush because I can usually find the positives about most products. But I really dislike this product. The smell is okay, I don't hate the smell, and it does in fact remind me of snow fairy, with the marshmallow undertones and sweetness. However, the thickness of the product disappointed me. It's so thick that it goes back into the bottle when you stop squeezing. And when lathering it, it doesn't go very far at all. I'm hoping this product grows on me, we'll have to see.

Today's shower consisted of two honey flavoured shower gels. Flying fox and it's raining men. I love both of these fragrances a lot because honey is one of my all time favourite smells. Each of these gels smell very different and that's what I love about them. They're also both shower gels that can be used in the hair. The it's raining men fragrance is filled with honey and has hints of floral smells. It's overly sweet and that's something I love about it. It's literally honey without the stickiness. I've yet to try this as a shampoo but I'm very curious about it as honey is great for the hair and I will eventually get around to using it. The fragrance of this gel reminds me very much of the Honey, I Washed My Hair shampoo bar, so I have high hopes for it to make my hair luscious. The flying fox shower gel is my all time favourite product from lush. It smells wonderful, of honey and jasmine, and since I bought this bottle it's been discontinued which broke my heart. Ive been rationing the last of it because it's so lovely but as you can see from the picture, it's almost out. It has a rather runny consistency to it, which as first, I didn't like because, me being rather clumsy, it didn't go very far. But I soon wised up, and figured a little goes a long way with this gel. Recently, I’ve become obsessed with the comforter smell. It’s such a beautiful, relaxing bubble bar which creates heaps of bubbles, even if you only use half of the bar. I always seem to love fragrances in which lush use some form of vanilla in, even if it’s not the strongest note. This is definitely the case with the comforter. It has a beautiful berry and bergamot fragrance to it which makes it one of the more relaxing of the bars I’ve tried. It makes the bath go a beautiful bright pink and covers you with bubbles. It’s definitely one I would recommend if you want to feel like a princess. The shower cream is also one of my favourite products from lush. It’s my go to product when I have a wash and as it says on the label, it’s a cuddle in a bottle. It’s a little thicker than the standard shower cream or gel, so I find it’s better to lather it in your hands before use, as I find that if you put it straight on your skin, it doesn’t go as far. It’s not a fantastic product to use on an exfoliating glove, as it doesn’t go very far when you apply it straight to the glove, and I find I have to keep putting more on. Despite this, it’s still one of my favourite products and I only wish my bottles lasted a little longer. I’ve had to stop using daddy-o shampoo because I’ve had a red colour put in my hair. But I’ll review it as it’s going to be a while before I get to use this product again and it’s definitely worth a try. Daddy-o is filled with a really wonderful violet fragrance which really lingers on your hair. The reason I started using this shampoo is because I longed for lighter hair, and with all the layers of darker dye in my once blonde hair, I was recommended to use it. Straight away I noticed a difference in using this shampoo. Firstly, it did start making my hair go lighter, and I would constantly be asked if I’d done something to my hair. And secondly, it gave life to my once limp hair, giving it volume and shine. I think this product is remarkable and if you have blonde hair, or you want to go lighter if you’re a brunette, this is one I’d recommend you buy. The sugar daddy-o conditioner is another nice product with the similar smell. And you don’t need a lot in your hair. All you need to do is glide it through your hair a few times and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it out. It makes your hair feel so much softer and easier to brush straight after a shower. This product will also be going back on the shelf for a while whilst my hair is red. Jumping juniper shampoo bar is the final product I’ve used in the last few days. The main smell in this is said in the name: juniper berries. There’s also a hint of lemon and lime which help to bring a nice shine to your hair. Whilst I prefer to daddy-o shampoo, this is the product I’d happily go for the times where I want to keep the colour in my hair. Though, the lemon and lime juice may still not keep my vibrant colour. My next quest is probably to buy another shampoo that suits me.

Today it occurred to me that lush has become a huge part of my life. I use at least one lush product each day and I’m unashamed to say that I’m a lush addict. I’m not sure exactly when it occurred to me that I may indeed have a problem. It might have been when I spent the morning tracking my package whilst at work and getting my sister to send pictures to make sure they hadn’t forgotten anything on my order. Or maybe going straight back onto the website to order more and finding out that they’re once again making my favourite shower gel, which if you hadn’t guessed by the name of the blog, it’s flying fox. Maybe it was when I was pouring my fourth bath of the week, crumbling my bubble bar under the tap. Or even the moment earlier in the week when I walked into a lush store and the assistant asked which bath bomb I hadn’t tried and I struggled to answer. Whilst it may be true that I have a problem, it’s also true that lush had really helped me with my self confidence. I have always struggled with my self esteem and have never found myself attractive. I also suffer with terrible anxiety which I battle with almost every single day. But lush is definitely turning this around. Each time I step into the bath, I forget everything and just relax. It’s a truly remarkable feeling, one which I’m not ready to go to rehab for just yet. Because lush is so much a part of my daily routine, the idea popped into my head that I should start writing about my experiences with the products. I would be interested to see if others thought the same about certain things or if they used a product in a certain way.
