Lights On

by rudzik on FA. Named after the amazing Hatchie song. Today is my 27th birthday. My last year has been really chaotic. This was my first full year having a full-time career and being 100% on my own. I don't have much of a work life balance (really common for the first few years in my field), and it leaves me so drained most days I can barely get a coherent sentence out. But I'm pushing through it, and little by little I'm learning to set boundaries and be more confident in my abilities.  I haven't had much mental space or time to be creative, but for some reason I can still make music. I got a Roland Fantom last December, and it's opened a whole new world for me. Hopefully I can get some real demos going soon. We'll see.

Flying Fox

We're in bat country now. Hanging upside down in trees like plastic bags, flying foxes are sleeping in pack, chattering, waiting for the sun to go out. At nightfall, better watch out where these cute sky puppies go! Hide your bananas! Accrochées tête en bas aux arbres tels de disgracieux sacs poubelles, les roussettes géantes se regroupent en pack, attenant que le soleil s'en aille.

La nuit venue, mieux vaut guetter où ces adorables boules de poil se rendent ! Gare à vos bananes ! Gare à vos mangues !
