         Phos looked quizzically down at the other.  Were they a gem just like Phos?  They had the same gem-like texture, but they were much smaller than Phos and not wearing powder.

        “Umm-” they leaned down to tap the other on the shoulder with one of their golden hands, surprised by the texture.  “Are you really a gem...?”  It was almost like touching a Lunarian- something made of smoke.  They put a hand to their chin.  “A synthetic gem...?”

Was this person okay? Could they even classify as a ‘person’? They kind of looked like one but this ‘alien’ feeling permeated their whole appearance. ❝ Huh… You okay? I won’t hurt you. ❞

Eyes fixated on finer details as she stood there, as calm as possible not only for the sake of the other party’s tranquility but because she was quite chill herself that morning. Their eyes and hair seemed made out pure gem and their skin didn’t look organic at all.  ❝ You just arrived, right? I’m Hibiki, nice to meet you! ❞  

        A ‘Hibiki’?  At least they could understand each other, that was a relief.  “Oh... yeah.  Yeah, I’m... new here.”  A weird way of putting it.  This place looked a lot like the moon in some ways, but in other ways it was strange.  The buildings were oddly solid and metallic.  They scratched at their face, overwhelmed.

         “I’m Phos...  Phosphophyllite.  A gem.”  Well, as far as they could reckon at this point.  Not gem enough to be a gem and and not Lunarian enough to be a Lunarian.  “What is this place?  Is this where you creatures live?”

     Phos takes a step backwards as they see the gem-shaped animal.  “Uhh-” they put their hands up in a placating gesture, unsure how intelligent the thing is.  Did they even speak the same language?

      “Easy there?” they didn’t even know what this place was.  Maybe Phos was the one who needed to be told to take it easy.

made out of sentient phosphophyllite, a mineral, (hence their name), missing their original head, arms, and legs, which have been replaced with other materials.

450 years old, now a mentor to one or two gems who are younger.

has a lot of guilt about other gems who were ground into powder (the closest a gem can come to death), several of whom were phos’s partners
