long days– something everyone in this industry knows far too well. no can really say who has the longest hours. the idols? trainees? maybe the producers, choreographers or managers? regardless of who holds the title, there’s a general respect because of it. everyone seems to stick around their respective companies deep into the night and arrive early the next day. this is why they’re all able share such camaraderie. why seungsoo can even approach the lead dancer and lead vocalist of such a world renowned group. “ahh, i understand that. at least the day’s over, right? now you can just sit back, relax, have a delicious meal and expect a fresh start tomorrow.” taking another sip from his coke, he set the glass down soon after, wiping drink sweat off of a cool palm when she’d extended out her hand, accepting it with a light laugh. “it’s a pleasure to meet you in person gayoung. i’m a big fan of your group.” jokingly ( but a little too convincingly to really be a joke ) he did the hand movements of peek-a-boo’s chorus, just briefly, checking his surroundings midway after he remembered that they were in a public forum.
clearing his throat he blinked a few times, realizing that he’d probably just made a total fool of himself. “plus, you’re the aegyo queen. it’s hard not to remember those.” truthfully, it was the personable ones who drew seungsoo’s eye, which was a tough feat considering his high standards. for a moment he was almost shocked by the amount of food being sat down in front of them, those long days she spoke of earlier were messing with his own brain, thinking initially that the food was all for the female sitting before him. “oh– uhh.. i guess, do you mind me sitting here since she already brought out my order?” his cheeks were hot, surely hued, after looking at the amount of food he’d ordered versus her tiny plate. the idea of having to move everything across the room was a little daunting but not unreasonable since he was the reason for it. “feel free to help yourself. i think i let the menu get the best of my bank account.” he smiled haphazardly before scooping a hearty helping of stir fried squid and kimchi fried rice into one of the bowls provided. shoveling some into his mouth with a quiet, but happy, coo and a pleased growl from his stomach. after his gullet was clear he looked over at the brunette once more and gestured in her direction. “what’s it like over at hjh? i know you guys are almost an all kill in company ratings so it must be extra tough, right? especially with a woman ceo, i’m sure the attentions to detail are almost overwhelming.”
She smiled at his reference to their choreography, it was cool that older andvery musically talented people could be interested in their songs. Especially since the man before her appeared so cool while their music was so cute and bouncy. Then again, happiness, both the group and the mood, is for everyone.
As the food came out she widen her eyes at his order, it looked so flavourful and heavy, nothing like she’d eaten in the past...well, years maybe. Although she knew it was impolite to stare, she couldn’t help but watch him swallow down a huge mouthful. It made her appetizer egg rolls look so sad in comparison. She knew it would feel even more impolite to take from his plate. Usually she would be open to sharing but they didn’t know each other so well, he seemed to have paid a lot, and she wasn’t allowed to eat such things anyways.
“Thank you but I’m alright for now. Uh, at HJH...it is hard. But I don’t think it’s any harder than other companies. Since we’re at our peak right now, Happiness is constantly practicing though. Umm. I don’t mind though. I like working hard. Something feels really good about it especially when you share it with others. As for the details, I guess I don’t really notice how much is put into it. We aren’t told the planning behind anything like the colour palette or music video set or anything. I’m sure the ideas behind it all are very cool though. Every video is so different.”
