Notice how in recent interviews Noah has been cursing a lot—saying the occasional “shit” or “fucking”. He’s never done this before. He has cursed, of course, but now the cursing is more frequent and more harsh than before.
And, sure, one could say it’s because he’s older and has grown out of the “kid-friendly” language, but he’s over 20 years old? He should’ve been cursing like this a long time ago, since most people typically have the worst “cursing phase” at around 13-17.
So what is the reason for Noah’s recent cursing awakening? Well…
Who’s another person that we know curses a lot (and has done so for long) and is close to Noah? It’s of course Finn Wolfhard.
Finn, as we know, curses a lot and cursed a bunch even when he was a child (which Noah did not do). Finn usually uses the exact words Noah says nowadays, words like: shit, fucking…
And according to psychology, a person will mimic another person’s behaviour if they spend a lot of time together OR if person A has a particular interest in person B.
Now both of these things could be factors as to why Noah curses more—he himself said that he spent a lot of time with Finn during the filming of season 5, which would check the “mimicking because of proximity” box.
But if we bring in other factors—such as Noah and Finn both copying each other’s behaviour—we can draw the conclusion that both of them seem romantically interested in each other and have also spent a significant amount of time together, to the point where they exhibit the same behaviour.
So, rough conclusion:
Noah’s increase in cursing is because of Finn and that is one of multiple branches on the same tree: the copying behaviour tree.
The number of shared or copied behaviours also tells us that this isn’t just them crushing—they have spent alot of time together, they are “merging into one person”, like couples do.
Basically, them exhibiting the same behaviours is a significant sign of them already being in an established relationship (and obviously liking each other very much).
I, like many people who ship foah, have noticed some sus happenings in the lyrics within many of the track’s on Finn Wolfhard’s debut solo album, Happy Birthday. (It’s a great album and you should give it a listen even if you don’t ship them!) I will be analyzing the final four tracks from the album as I believe they are about Finn & Noah’s relationship!

there’s a lot more written about this song compared to the others in this article! however, I don’t believe this song is entirely what they say it is… although there are elements of childhood, I believe this song has already let childhood go and it’s about leaving that behind. I believe it is about Finn and Noah kissing for the first time 🙈 I could be entirely wrong but please go ahead and read my analysis below!

so the song starts off with a very very cool guitar solo, but you’ll notice it’s mixed to the left ear, until 00:16 when it begins in the right ear. I believe this represents his sexuality, it wasn’t until he was 16 years old that he started liking boysssss tooooooo!
the lyrics begin at 00:23 with a simple “I”- obvi because he is now 23 years old when this album comes out! 2025 baby :p

Obviously Finn and Noah have known each other for a very long time and seen each other (as well as the rest of the cast) as an almost family type bond. I am sure they have seen each other melt down or throw a fit, especially filming the earlier seasons so this is in reference to him recognizing he’s still a little like the kid Noah knows him as (someone with lisps and fits), but something is different now. He never thought while growing up that he would start to have feelings for/dream of Noah.
“If I could still have a bath
Can I still have my crown?”
I think bath could be another word/euphemism for BOTH? as in both genders- a bisexuality hidden meaning lol?? idk guys
I believe the crown is a metaphorical reference to finn and his “crown” or his reputation as white boy of the month type (lol) OR just in reference to his success/image.
As someone with an intense fan base, he fears losing his “crown” by coming out publicly.
It could also be a childhood inside joke/memory with him and noah at the same time ! Maybe they fought over a paper crown once?
essentially, if I came out as bisexual would my longtime fans still like me?
ANYWAY
ALL OF THESE THOUGHTS are running through his head in this heated moment with noah, leading to their first kiss.

so this might be in reference to trailers after dark opening line “pressed against my window”, now pressed on the glass here
making out pressed against the window!!! idk how that works but I’m assuming it’s some weird spot in the trailer somehow
“The sweater’s coming off”
this is the line that made me think it’s about kissing/maybe sex? anyway, the sweater’s coming off obviously the escalation of the moment, first kiss? into first time having sex idk? but the sweater is coming off!!! either his own sweater or noah’s sweater idk
and then GUITAR SOLO OF STEAMY MAKEOUT OR SEX IDK but you can feel it ramp up and the almost reckless nature of the guitar- the nature of all of the built up passion that long time friend’s first kiss would have. (this is my favorite guitar solo on this track, I just love how messy and raw it is!)

You see he’s breaking down

they break away from the kiss, noah pulling away first, hence the “he breaks up”- they’re both breathing heavy and it’s represented through how Finn sings these lines
they are in shock like ‘oh shit what did we just do’
you see he’s breaking down- meaning noah’s composure is being lost and he’s about to kiss him again or maybe that he’s panicking? noah might immediately blurt something of like “I’m so sorry” or “I shouldn’t have done that” kinda thing
but regardless…. he’s - ahh - being drawn in closerrrrr

This lyric is now sung quite a few times, and it is the same metaphor as before, he’s overthinking while they are making out about this over and over understanding that as the moment escalates so do the potential consequences…until his mind clears of these doubts as the lyrics go away, leaving a few beats to show how he forgets about his inhibitions and began to kiss fearlessly…I don’t care what they will say, I want this.
the song ends in a beautiful explosion and then hints to a softer tone with the tinges of an acoustic guitar leading into the next song You.
