Subaru B11S Concept, 2003. A quad coupé, with the rear doors hinged at the rear. The concept introduced the airplane-inspired grille that paid homage to Subaru’s heritage. Kiyoshi Sugimoto led the design team, with Andreas Zapatinas, Chief Designer of Advanced Design for Subaru. Fuore Design International, led by Erwin Leo Himmel, was retained in a consulting design role. It was powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre flat-6 engine that produced 394hp using Subaru's "Variable Torque Distribution" system.
